I started this thread to explore what everyone's interests are outside of TG. I'm sure things will bounce from one topic to another, but here's some starting framework. Name your top 3 favorite:
Music bands or artists. Favorite comedians. Movies. Books. Activities.
These can be in no particular order, and don't necessarily have to be current. For instance, a listed activity might be something you did for some time, but no longer do. Feel free to lessen or increase your listing from 3 (I just picked it 'cause it seemed like a good number).
I'll start:
Music bands or artists. 1) Aerosmith 2) Van Halen (w/David Lee Roth) 3) Led Zeppelin
Favorite comedians. 1) Patton Oswalt 2) Bill Hicks 3) Doug Stanhope 4) David Cross
Movies. 1) The Lord of the Rings 2) Star Wars 3) Batman Begins
Books (this'll be hard for me...). 1) Anything by C.S. Lewis 2) Anything by Roald Dahl 3) The Phantom Toll Booth Okay, so I pretty much cheated on numbers 1 and 2... sue me.
Activities. 1) Karate (I haven't done it for 5 years now... but I had done it for 10 years) 2) Karaoke 3) Video games
Your turn!

Adventure , RPG, and Strategy usually, though I will play shooters, and Sandbox games like GTA. And i do love new game concepts, like Pheonix Wright and Trauma Center.
The only games I can say I hate are sports games, except Snowbording. Those games only change a little from year to year

Cool. I tend to play 3rd person action/adventure/platformers. So, Legend of Zelda, Devil May Cry, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, and so on.
I was a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog during the Genesis years, but I haven't really played any of the 3-D ones. I hear they aren't really like the old 16 bit titles.
I usually don't have the patience or raw interest to get good at fighting games. However, I'm a colossal slut for Super Smash Bros., probably because it's not really a fighting game.
I really need to get around to playing Okami... I'm only just getting my desire to play back, now that I haven't game tested for 7 1/2 months.

Olorin90 Super Smash Bros Brawl Confirmed Wi-Fi play finally awesome. Wait Game Tester??? Yeah, I live in Washington. Microsoft and Nintendo of America are both in Redmond. I worked at Nintendo for about 6 months. Then Microsoft offered me a better contract, so I worked with them for 8 1/2 months. It's fun work, if you don't mind truly epic overtime. You will get sick of the games you test, though. The only real problem with it is that it's contract work. Being out of work every few months sucks.

Well... move to the greater Seattle area, I guess. wink Nintendo's not exactly picky about the sort of people they hire to game test. Being good helps if you want to stay past your first project, though. I suppose you could also move to California. I think that's where Sony does their testing.
