So, what kind of computers do you have? I'm curious as to the brands and stats, as well as how they have help up for you. I'm also going to be buying a laptop soon, and I'm looking at an HP. Just curious to see what everyone else uses. smile
I'll post my computer stats when I get home; at school now...

I use an HP laptop. biggrin I don't know exactly what model it is, but I love it. It has Vista, and a built-in webcam and microphone. It cost around $1000, but it was worth the money.

My dad's a computer technology consultant so I get to hear all the low down on computers, I have my mom's old HP compaq, but I had dell desktop awhile ago, my school uses imac and macbooks. Not a fan of macs, even the new ones but at the same time I HATE Vista OS. If you can, see if you can get a dual set up so you can get XP, works so much better. I'm also not a fan of Dells, just never had much luck with them.

I have a Dell Inspiron. It's what most of the students at my school have. It was a graduation present, so I don't know how expensive it was, but I think they're fairly cheap. It runs, it does what I need it to, and I haven't had any real problems with it. I wouldn't try to do anything too fancy with one though, like put any games on it. I think it might have a heart attack. But if you're looking for a basic computer to use for school, it works well enough.

I have a custon computer,, lmao it doesnt really have a brand,, but I wouldnt recommend a Microsoft computer. If you were to get a Microsoft comp, then I would deff go for Toshiba.
I have heard bad things about HPs..

I'm actually using a Toshiba right now, but its not mine. Its my brothers. My fried laptop is an Acer. And then the home computer is one as well. As soon as we get mine slightly fixed, and the stuff off of it, I'm transferring it to a mac. I need one for school because of the Academy that I'm going into.
Acers really don't work very well. They close Internet Explorer ALL THE TIME and it annoys me so much. And it isn't just ours, because I know other people with them and "Internet Explorer Stops Working" constantly. I think its a bug in the whole design.
Toshibas do seem to work though. And I know that Macs work really well. But they're SO expensive..
