Valefor curled up around Aear and put a wing over him comfortingly. "Ah... I don't know, dear friend. I'm not sure telling her about what you've done would tell her what to avoid... maybe the behaviors..." She paused for a moment, thoughtful, and sighed. "She knows you Aear. The you that only she and I have really gotten to see. What she needs to know is what behavior to avoid... because somehow she has a way of seeing what sort of person is behind the face she's talking to. I don't think even she realizes it. And if she sees a good heart... she might not realize precisely about the... lesser intentions on the mind of that good heart." Another thoughtful pause. "I don't think Seer would ever stop seeing the good in you, Aear, even if she were confronted with the fact that you aren't perfect." A chuckle, and a nuzzle, and she sighed again. "Though I can understand you not wanting her to know. Honestly I don't know that we need to tell her, unless she asks. We don't need to crucify you for an example to tell her what she needs to know to protect herself..." And also because oddly enough she didn't really like the idea of Seer finding out and being... disillusioned about the kitsu who'd been a father to her when she had none. Were they both being selfish?

He relaxed, letting himself be comforted. Aye, selfish. Of course. "Thank you, Valefor."
Then the sailor chuckled softly at himself. She had come seeking his help... and given help. He really should not worry so over something he never planned on letting anyone know. "I'll seek out yer friend starting tomorrow, kay Lass? I need to stomach the thought today yet." And pull together the courage to leave the Hiril Anorfalf.

Valefor smiled and poked him just once more. "There's no rush on it, really... but thank you. After all I still have to sort out my own feelings on the matter. Though honestly whichever way things go I'd probably feel better knowing for certain if he could get along with you." She had no desire to lose either of them... or be caught in the middle if things were going to be strained between them. It was possible it couldn't be helped but she appreciated greatly that Aear was willing to go to the trouble for her sake.

Aear chuckled lightly. "If ye say so Lass. But I'm nay abou' te be hanging around all day every day on land te catch him, so even if I start checking in for him to morrow there's no guarantee our path's'll cross conveniently." He would do his best to make this easy as possible for Valefor. That included nearly everything. What was his pride now anyway? If Crow really had feelings for Valefor beyond friendship he had nothing to fear from the sailor. It was in his unwritten code. There of course was the matter of how the dark male would handle the matter of Aear's relationship with his roommate. But Aear was a gentlekitsu when it came down to the matter. Somehow he would find a way.
"An' that's why I'll try te meet with him as soon as possible. even if yer only ever friends... I'd rather we got along."

Valefor butted his shoulder again, this time all play. "Expect a sailor to stay aground? What foolishness!" Her tails wagged, though, and bumped the bottom of his chin with the flat part of her mask above her muzzle. "Thank you Aear. I know it's not precisely likely that you'll catch him, but I appreciate the effort. I want you to know that."

His next laugh better resembled his usual joviality. So like what she had said to him, so long ago when he had first brought her to the Hiril Anorfalf. Perhaps even the same words. "Hahaha! Aye Lass!"
Aear tucked his head gently over her muzzle, smiling softly. "Yer welcome, Valefor."
