I'm a little behind, so I just saw that today (and I thought I'd better post despite being busy to avoid getting removed from this guild XD). Her performance was AMAZING. Before that, I thought she was about a hand under Kirsten Kreuk in acting, and now I can see that she's just as good. Amazing. I always knew she was good, but that really set it in stone for me.
Erica Durance, who never was as good an actress as she is as good a Lois, was just HORRIBLE in that episode if you ask me. When they're in the attic, and that guy is threatening them, Alison's shaking looks like it's of genuine fear, and Erica's just looks so forced and...well, fake. I don't know if it's whether she's just that bad of an actress, it's just hard to imagine Lois shaking, or it was hard for ERICA to imagine Lois shaking, but I thought it was AWFUL.
Then the way Clark came was so cheesy. I'm so used to them making him figure things out. And without Chloe's advice we know how much of a goof ball he can be. It just seemed so rushed and hurried the way he figured out how to get to the house. But...they had no choice. I'm sure the director wanted it otherwise but...
That episode was just awesome. It was honestly creepy and despite the aforementioned weakpoints, it really gave Alison a chance to shine, and therefore, wins.
