So I'm flying home tomorrow, on September 11th. What? Flights were cheaper that day. Seriously, because it is a Tuesday, flights are cheaper, and people are creeped out by the date, I got a plane that is only half booked. Talk about leg room. Best part is, my seat number is 13F. If I were superstitious I'm be on pins and needles. But I'm not, and I just want to get home to my cat, Miss Figaro.

Sept 11th = the new friday the 13th? :O I don't mean in the horror movie sense, but more like in superstition way. What's the chances for an attack happening again on that day? Or maybe it's cheaper because people are in memory or something.
I mean no offense by any of that of course...

Right now I'm in Ottawa, the sidewalk by the canal has four lanes. I grew up in the valley where people would crawl under the fence just because my backyard was a major shortcut, so I find that pretty strange. I remember when I was a kid my family would drive over an hour just to go to a Pizza Hut near Halifax. But there's all kinds of huge grocery stores including a 24/7 one so I'm happy enough for now.

Ewww! Ontario? What are you doing there? You know what city I thought was awesome when I drove across? Don't laugh, but Regina was cool. It's pretty contained, not a lot of urban sprall, and it just springs up like a mushroom on the prairie. Plus they are the tech capital of Canada, and the have free internet access for everyone in the downtown. pretty damn sweet. It was cute with their token 5 high rises. Winnipeg sucked. Calgary has a pretty prospect driving towards it from the mountains, but Calgary it self was never one of my favourite places. My family is now installed just outside of Digby. I liked it a lot, maybe I'll move there one day, but not for a few years yet. I was so excited to see from the plane the prairie end and the mountains suddenly wall up, I can't believe how homesick I was this time.

At the same time I was only 1 of 2 people in the whole 13th row! Of course they were window seats. It was great, I had so much space. I met this crazy old lady from Newfoundland, I couldn't understand a word she spoke, she was hilarious!

Woah woah, four lanes? I am amazed. :O How does a sidewalk have four lanes? Did they draw them in?

It was smooth and fast, landed ahead of schedual, and the sky was completely clear half the trip, so I was able to watch the patchwork of land beneath me.
