No.. things were not supposed to have been this way, and Edward was rather disappointed in how the circumstances had turned out. When Lilianna nuzzled him, he nuzzled her back... although there was a sadness in his face. He didn't want things to be like this between him and his brother... and he only hoped that Al wouldn't do something stupid.
"I love you too" he said back softly, before nodding to his mate's suggestion of sleep. Slowly and painfully climbing into a comfortable place, and curling up. Having totally forgotten that he left all his own clothes back in the other room. But his mind was on other things at the moment. Golden eyes eventually closed though, being too tired to think about Alphonse for too long befor sleep called him. The fullmetal alchemist falling into a deep and healing slumber.

Lilana sighed and curled tenderly around her now fully grown and half clothed mate. Now that she thought about it... she was probably the one who needed a bath. Maybe tomorrow will be better... stay better. Maybe tomorrow I can convince Alphonse that we want him near... that I don't want to shut him out... that he's welcome. I told him... but I don't think he believes me. If he believed me... he'd be here. Now with us. on the black inner fur of her right foreleg Liliana wiped the tears that silently formed. Maybe tomorrow they'll talk... Maybe I could go to Mother's, apologize to MauCho... Maybe tomorrow Alphonse will rest with us... I can wait for [blush] well I certainly won't be instigating anything with Edward hurting. Poor Edward... Poor Rikku... her Naruto's probably taking care of her right now. [sigh] She'll probably never be willing to work on automail again, after today. Not that I can blame her. Maybe Edward & Alphonse's Winry will arrive soon. Maybe... Maybe... Maybe...
Whatever other thoughts came to her would have to wait to be revealed in any dreams that might come her way for Liliana, brown wing draped with loving protection over Edward, had fallen asleep.
