Ok. I have really curly hair, and this time of year it is really hot, sweaty, and humid. My hair is thin, short (just past my shoulders) and goes up in a fro! Does anyone have any suggestions on hair styles and hair cuts for me. And no, straightening my hair dosen't work because of all the humidity. I apriciate the help! And also, if you have pictures, please share them with me as well.
Thanks a bunch!
Love, Ms. Candice Victoria

-...quand le soleil sera couché dans ton âme froide.- Ya know thats just mean. If you dont have anything nice to say then dont be immature.
I have the same problem with my hair, only mine is thick and curly and it gets rele rele frizzy. (I hate it sooo much) But anyway, theres few ways you could prolly keep it straight..
1. Blowdry your hair straight, then take four sections and spray it with hairspray. Straighten the sections then spray them with hairspray again. Dont brush it when your done cuz then it combs out the hairspray.
2. If you know anyone who works in the beauty business you can have them buy you that expencive gel (its almost like hair cement but not the bed head stuff that crap doesnt rele work lol) Blowdry your hair and with your fingers pull the gel through till its straight.
Well thats what I do to keep my hair straight. But if you want you want to enhance your curls so they look lolita-ish (or w.e) what you do is get a curling iron. Take a small section (but not too small) of your hair. Spray with the hairspray and curl it. (It will make a steaming sound but thats fine) Then imediently after you take out the curl spray it with hairspray (but not so much that the curl comes out)
If you need anymore hair tips just lemme know ^-^

You know those ethnic hair relaxers? Anyone can use them- I do! They really relax the texture of your hair, so you can go from frizzy-curly to a smooth, relaxed curl if that's something you may be interested in having. Finding a good brand, like Revlon, or even the delicate kid's relaxer called "Just for Me" (that's the first one I tried, and it didn't damage my hair at all, in fact made it feel better).
Or find a really good silk infusing lotion, like that by Chi or Biosilk. It'll make it soft, and hydrate it so that the frizzies are less frizzy. Good hair gels make the curls more defined and kind of binds the hair together into the curls, which tones down the fro. I used to have really curly hair too (before I started relaxing it), lots of it, and these are some of the things I've done to live with it.

But those relaxers....I've been told that you can't use them if you had gotten highlights in the past six or seven months.

+Visual Lolita+ But those relaxers....I've been told that you can't use them if you had gotten highlights in the past six or seven months. yes, because relaxers can have some harsh chemicals in them it isn't the best thing to use on your hair if it's already chemically treated. Wait until that hair has grown out.

:/ I wasn't trying to be mean, fyi. She said that straightening doesn't work, so what else is there?
I was serious about being a frolita. There's nothing wrong with having a 'fro and dressing in Lolita and looking great. That's basically the only 'original' thing I can see in this fashion, imho. And getting your hair constantly straightened or getting it relaxed is not healthy for the hair at all. And if you're not taking care of it constantly, it's gonna just be crazy in the end. To mess up your hair like that to try to look like the typical Lolita girl isn't really worth it.

You could grow out your hair as well^^ Then it will be really pretty, and also it will make your curls heavier, causing them to not be as curly.
