Mordred excitedly stepped onto the chariot. He had dreamed of adventures like these for years. It was a bumpy ride, but worth the destination. A huge city appraoched, surrounded by a massive wall. The chariot came to the gate, and it slowly opened.

((In time travel the machine immediately switches languages to fit the time and place, its a very confusing process that I do not wish to explain (nor can I explain it) but for the sake of the argument, there it is! ))
Messa hesitantly got into the charier. She wasn't so sure about riding on this. A soldier climbed up with her to make sure she didn't fall out, and then they were off. Biting back a scream Messa endured the trip as best she could, though the sand flying in her face at random times didn't help her attitude by much.
Finally they reached the city. At first glance it looked like the things you saw in picture books about the ancient Egyptian world, only this time the figures came alive with palpable reality. Booth-holders lined the street selling their wares, children ran about in rags or fine linen depending on their status in life, and women of power walked about with smelling oils on top of their head!
"I am definably not at home..." Messa whispered by the grandeur of the city itself. The most amazing of this all though was the gateway that lead into the palace. Perhaps staying here wasn't going to be so bad after all...

Mordred was amazed at how advanced their civilization seemed to be. He knew they were advanced... but this advanced? And the palace... how much gold, how much time must it have taken to build this? Such architetctual beauty was rarey seen in the over populated world of the future. They passed through the gates, going further into the palace. Mordred gazed at the marvelous treasures all over the place. One of the guards looked at him suspiciously.
"Don't get any ideas..."

Messa laughed silently, over hearing what the guard had said. Her personal guard looked as proud as ever, obviously knowing quite well how rich their land was. “Good thing you’re a scientist Mordred.” Messa whispered to him smiling. A good thing she was into biology rather then anything else, otherwise some crimes may be committed…

((sorry i haven't posted, the last three days have been hectic. This weekends not gonna be any better.))
"Good thing..." Mordred whispered, still fascinated by the treasures. He was being overcome by a feeling of greed, of the urge to exploit this ancient land of Egypt. He did not think of how he might mess up time, he thought only of how he could gain and how much scientific knowledge could be gained. He was changing inside, though he did not know it.

Thoth watched Mordred with some anger. He knew the expression on their faces. Greed. Pure, simple, and dangerious greed. "Perhaps not part of the plan..." Thoth looked around quickly for the god of Chaos, he wasn't there thankfully. Though, Thoth should probably now keep a very sharp eye out for him.
Messa gulped when the Gaurds directed them to rooms that seemed very efficently barricaded against those wishing to escape. Almost freezing because they were now inside the palace her gaurd dragged her in, giving her a shove far away from the door. She stumbled but managed not to fall. "What are we doing here?" Mess asked, trying to appear commanding, but failling. She didn't like the nice appeal they had put on the obvious prison room.

"You are waiting until questioning. We don't know who you are, so we can't let you escape. But you might not be bad people, so we gave you a fairly nice suite. We will be back soon with your meals." Mordred was also shoved into the room. The door slammed behind him. Rubbing his back, he stood all the way up. He quickly scanned the room, noticing doors to other rooms, probably seperate bedrooms.
"How long are they planning to keep us here?"
Immediately, he went to work finding escape routes, hidden treasures, and anything he could smuggle out.

"Ah..." Messa said rather speachless before sighing. "Look, don't... I don't know just don't TOUCH or TAKE anything alright?" Messa commanded while testingly sitting on a seat. Not liking the feeling of lying down while sitting Messa got up quickly to look out the balcony. "Oh!" She gasped as the setting suns rays hit the palace and city just right, making everything glow as if it sparkled with an inner fire. "Mordred take a look at this!" Leaning against the railing Messa had a very dizzying veiw of the hundred foot drop to the ground. Stepping back a bit she forced herself to focus on the cities view made absolutely unearthly with the suns rays causing it to glow.

"Fine, fine, I won't touch or take anything." He looked around for important items, ignoring his own deceipt. Messa muttered something about the sunset and he looked over.
"Ya, that's pretty nice." The sunset had lost its appeal once he learned every scientific aspect of it. All that truly interested him was the unexplain, the unexplored. Suddenly, sleepiness began to overcome him. It'd been a long day, and he was ready for rest.
"It's a bit early, but I think I'm gonna go to sleep."

Messa stared at him with her eyes bright. “Sleep?” She exclaimed in shock. “Can you sleep?” Shaking her head Messa sat down hesitantly on a chair of some sort. “I think I’ll stay up, they have some writings on the walls here… I want to see if I can read them.” Smiling a bit shyly she got up to walk over to the walls that were painted with hieroglyphs. She started to study at first, until something else caught her eye. Gasping she ran over to a vase filled with flowers of multicolor. Stroking each gentle Messa studied them intently. She had always wanted to see these flowers in bloom; unfortunately they only grew in the Nile River and only during the spring. Delicately taking a flower out of its vase Messa smelled it, drinking in the sweet sent. “Before you go to bed Mordred, smell this. It will give you sweet dreams,” Whispered this under her breath she came up to give the flower to him. It’s biological makeup was a rare combination within a flower, it’s cells were strangely a little irregular compared to the average flower, but its pollen was the most interesting thing about it.
((Okay flower made up because I’m to lazy to go look up something such as that. ))

((lol no problem. I'm gonna be gone all weekend.))
"Wow, it smells wonderful." Mordred took in the sweet scent, marveling at the work of nature. Then he barely held back a yawn, drowsiness overcoming him.
"Well, good night then." He walked to another room and slipped into bed, barely remembering to turn out the lights.

Messa gazed at Mordred with a little worried expression on her face. Sighing, she got up to find a small palate on the other side of the room. She considered grabbing a form of cloth as a blanket, but thought better of it since it was already extremely hot out. "Yes, well, good night then," Messa whispered, then fell fast asleep, not knowing that they were both being carefully watched by Thoth, god of judgment and time.

Mordred awoke with a start. The door had been thrown open. Guards walked in. Mordred quickly dressed and stepped out into the main room. One of the guards was holding a meager breakfast for each of them. A third man, obviously not a guard with a sly and sinister face, smiled evily.
"Enjoy your breakfast, but enjoy it fast. It is time for your questioning."

Messa awoke with confusion, she was in an unfimiliar place she had never seen before... but then she remembered what had happened to the time machine. Taking a quite glance around she noticed the gaurds, and the sinister villian like man whose brows were non-exsistant. "Perhaps we should be questioning you on if we could trust you to be fair, Messa thought grumpily but she got out of the make-shift bed. Shifting ever so carefully towards Mordred she was able to get a better view of the guards, and their supposed breakfast. "Do you have any idea on what we're going to do?" Messa whispered, trying to speak in english, it worked partially.
