my old book collection is:
in a closet somewhere gathering dust
on the shelves... I still glance at them now and then
given away / sold... time to pass them on to someone new.

Called the midnight club... by Christopher Pike. it's a rather sad story really, not like his regular "horror." It was about a group of kids who were all dying in a hospice, so they formed a midnight club where they tell stories of all different natures. just thought that was an interesting tid bit of information.

I kinda miss back when I thought Christopher Pike books were interesting. same with R.L. Stine. They use to be my favorite authors when I was younger. But alas I grew up and moved on.

Any authors you use to love but have kinda of faded out as you grew up?

That's a cool fact! I'd have never even known lol.

Kathryn Lasky used to be my favourtie author. She wrote alot for the Royal Diaries series, which is where I found out about her.

Oh, and welcome to the guild ^.^

I had no idea that there was a book! That's nifty!! I wonder if Terrible Trivium knew?

I used to really like Bruce Coville. My favorite was the series he wrote about Unicorns. "Into the land of the Unicorns" and "The Wanderer" I believe they're called.

Sweet.

I used to love Lemony Snickets books, but then I started reading Harry Potter and more kind of darker things. I still pick one up and glance through it now and again.

I never got in to Animorphs. but I had almost all of the baby sitters club. Did you know they're now doing the baby sitters club in comic book form. It's rather irritating, at least to me.

Me and my two best friends when i was ten were like the "Animorphs, Baby sitters and saddle club Club" we were so nerdy. and yes, proudly I am still so nerdy. I havent even read a Baby Sitters club book for like the longest time.. I dont even remember the characters now except for tomboyish Kristy and that one of them could eat all the junk food she wanted and never put on any weight. And one of them had bushy red hair and her name started with M or something >.> lol

as for the book->movie thing. I hate watching movies based on books because I always love them and read the book. But then the book is a hundred times better and I cannot watch the movie any more. It happened with Lemony Snickets, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Bewitched (even though one of those is a radio series and another a show) but you get the drift..
