Hello lovely ladies and gentlemen. The Ouran Host club is a very fine establishment and is most adored by people of all kinds.
But what about the real Host Clubs? The ones Ouran is based after? What are they like? Is it the same thing?
I have gather'd a few videos clips, showing what real host clubs in Japan are like. The big part of it is from "The Great Happiness Space" which is a documentry on these clubs. The whole thing isn't on youtube, but if you like, I have the whole movie on my Mother's computer, so PM me if you would like it.
From what I've watched from the documentry, the real thing is actually pretty depressing. The hosts main goals are these:
1. Make women happy
2. Get them to drink more
3. ?????
4. Profit!
The hosts themselves, also drink with the ladies to a point where they get teribbly sick, and even close to the point of alcohol poisoning. Why do they get them to drink more? Thats how they make money. By getting women to buy expensive drinks. Tword the end of the movie, some of the hosts go into a state of depression. One of them says, he can read women perfectly now, and this bothers him because he knows thier every intention. He says he would like to find a girl to settle down with, but because he can see all of thier faults within a short time of them being together, he really isn't up to it.
Another host tword the end breaks down and cries because he can't handle the sad lives of the women that come to him. He wants to help them, and knows that getting them drunk isn't good for them, but he musts to make money.
Most of the women that come to the clubs are prostitutes. These women are trying to get away from their sex life, and try to find non-sexual love in the host clubs. The hosts help these women by doing all they can. But, at a price. As you watch these, you may find it a little contradicting. (Cause it kinda is )
But other than that, these guys have fun. (ish)
