Did I tel you that I was going to give blood on Wednesday? Well, I gave blood on Wednesday. I've done it before (this was the third time), and apart from the fact that they can never find a vein I've never had a problem. It doesn't particularly hurt.
But anyway, they usually use a side vein (because that's the only strong one they can find), as apposed to the usual more central one. So I told this nurse that the often have problems but she used a vein that is way more in the centre of my arm than they usually do (I have to tell you this, so she's to blame for what comes up soon). So anyway, I give blood (during which she barely speaks to me; which I found annoying), it's all done and the needle come out. Usual routine of holding pad in place for two minutes before the plaster goes on. The plaster goes on and a spot of blood appears (which is not supposed to happen), and so she applies some pressure, waits a bit to see if the circle of blood gets any bigger then sends me on my way.
So, I approach the table with the drinks and biscuits, and I think everything is fine, then some other nurse says "Oh, you need to come over here", so I look at my arm and the plaster is solid red now, so I smile and so say "oh yeah" (or something equally as calm), so this nurse gives me this thick pad to but on my arm and there's so much blood now (really, not that much; but this is my story so I get to exaggerate), that it soaks through the pad and i see it on my finger. Now I'm not a fan of blood so that freaked me out some what, and I nearly fainted. So there I was in this church hall lying on a bed being fanned. Which by the way; totally unaffective as the woman was fanning the pieces of paper above my head and not me.

So that was my Wednesday early Evening. Which sounds more and more pathetic with each telling. And for all that; I didn't even get a bruise. I'm quite disappointed

PS. Sorry about my ramble

Not so much. Needles don't bother me in the slightest. And the bag that they keep your blood in is kept out of sight under the bad (gravity I guess), so it's a matter of pretending not to notice the blood that's on your arm after the incompetent person stabbed you wrong

Ah I see. Yes I hate incompetent stabbers. Especially the ones who won't listen when you tell them which vein everyone else gets blood out of easiest. xd & then it's your fault because supposedly you're "dehydrated" or something. razz or it's your veins fault. haha.

Woah, sounds like fun. xp Bled quite a bit. O:

I remember when they were trying to hook me up to the IV when I was gonna get my wisdom teeth out.. they poked me like 8 times in different spots until I bled. XP Apparently it's due to the fact that I was too skinny and/or something about elasticity.
...I'm not even eligible to give blood. D:

YES! It was my fault. They said I was dehydrated. I excepted it at the time what with me lying flat on by back being fanned, but I did think "No, it's because the stupid women used a central vein, even though I told her to use the side one". Maybe I'll go back and tell them
