As the title says, this RP will be based loosely on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, there will actually be limited relation between the RP and the book characters and goings-on. The book characters will NPCs and not really RPed much at all (with, possibly, the exception of proffessors). Everyone must have their own madeup character. Just for reference this RP will be set after the fifth book, not the 6th, most recent one. But again, I repeat, the book actually will have little to do with the RP itself.
There will mainly just be a couple threads, one for the Great Hall, one for the main stairway, one for each of the house common rooms, etc. However, if someone wants to RP as a teacher and have a class thread for themselves, feel free to do so, just clear it here first. There will be one thread that will only be open, however, to the kids alone. And only certain ones, at that.... with the right connections, so to speak. You'll probably recognize it when you see it. Just remember, don't post in it until your character has been invited ICly! <~.^>

Rules (besides the usual) 1. As previously stated, all book characters will be NPCs, you cannot RP them as your main character. The only exception is, as I stated in the first post, you wish to teach a class as a professor. In this case, post about it here, first. If you can prove you'd be good at RPing that character, then you can make a thread for that professor's clasroom, and RP as them. 2. For now, no DEs, Aurors, etc. Only regular student characters for the time being. The only exceptions are of course the characters comming back from the Furcadia Hogwarts days. You know who you are. 3. Furries are allowed, but no mythical ones; ie no dragons, gryphons, etc. 4. Generally speaking, stick to spells from the book. No inventing big powerful spells. However, small little tricks with the wand are allowable, within reason. (list of spells can be found Here Note: This site does have spoilers soo if you do not wish to know about certain events, google "Harry Potter Spell List") 5. No bizarre wands. Some creativity is allowed, but no 5 foot wands made of titanium with core of pure energy, okay? Seriously.
6. The consent rule applies. This means do not do any unalterable damage to another player's character unless they agree to it, such as killing, severe injuries, etc. This means no Unforgivable Curses, unless consent is given from the player you are going to use it on. This is still frowned apon how ever. We want this to be reasonably angst-free.
7. Multiple charries allowed, but take it easy.... try to keep it to a minimum of 4 or so, ok? O.o;;

The sorting will only be for first years only, of course.) Physical Desc: (Describe how your character looks, what he/she is dressed in, etc.) Personality: (Doesn't have to be much, just a little brief description of what your character is like. Doesn't need to be more than a sentance or two, in this case.) History: (This is somewhat optional but encouraged, and a paragraph or so is reccommended.) Other: Anything else that may have been left out.

Variations There will be a few differences between the books and this RP. One, as stated earlier, is that there will be furries allowed. Also, students will be allowed to stay at the school during summer and other various breaks, should they choose to.

Species: LYCAN.. k, well, human.
House: Ravenclaw
Physical Desc: Well, she has longish dark brown hair that seem a bit unkept (for a girl o smile , her eyes are a dark, almost black, brown also. Her face is.. a face. She usually looks a bit tired and most of the time she has shadows under her eyes, though she can be very alert when the need comes. She wears the usual school robes with a long sleeves shirt, an ankle skirt with a pair of pants under, all of dark colours and looking a bit worn out.
Personality: Usually quiet and doesn't talk much about herself. She gets a bit shy when someone she doesn't know talk to her, but she tries to keep up a conversation. Around her true close friends she's more

Year/age: Uh. The average of everyone else's ages? Sixth year, most likely. Which would make her fifteen until Oct. 19th, her sixteenth birthday. <3

House: Ravenclaw
Physical Desc: Scruffy-looking silvery hair falls to about her knees or so, bangs uneven and falling into a gaunt, pale face. Eyes are a sickly grass green, with pale, chapped lips turned up in a timid, thin smile. Dressed in a black turtleneck and dark men's jeans, plain sneakers and Hogwarts' robes.
Personality: Shy, of course. Loyal, shy, very quiet, and somewhat sad. And, as a proper Ravenclaw, she's quite the bookworm.
