Am I wrong to think that's just absolutely retarded?
  Nope, I agree.
  Nah, that's normal.

As if the Naruto headbands being a gang symbol wasn't bad enough...

A girl at school today nearly got suspended for having one of those custom made shirts with her nickname on it. It was "Boo-boo." They said it was like having a shirt that had "Boobs" written on it. They made her change. If boobs are so distracting (and they are... a lot more than a ******** shirt), then why aren't us ladies made to strap them down? In my opinion, the shirt thing is just as stupid as that idea.

:/
Stupid b***h new principal.

Last one was a stoner.
He even wore a kilt to school.
He needs to gtf back here.

Why is it gangstah to talk like a baby now?

I'm sure the dress code isn't so picky as to list words not allowed on shirts. I bet there are loads of people at disturbed's school who wear shirts with much more inappropriate sayings on them. And it's a nickname. People have those.

As far as dress codes go -.-;; they should be limited to private schools. Wearing a uniform to public school... that's a little retarded... I can understanding abiding by a dress code(uniform and stuff) at a private school because rebelling and getting kicked out would cost a lot of money. Public school you don't pay squat for and shouldn't be told what you can and can't wear.

As far as I'm concerned a plain white t-shirt with no words or pictures on it at all would distract me even more because then I wouldn't bother reading, i would just stare at the boobs... >.> at least with words on the shirts the little retards aren't letting their education go to a -complete- waste, haha.

Society... as a whole... fails... completely.

So taxes-that dosent count as paying for it?
And yes public schools are allowed to have dress codes and uniforms as strict or as lax as they want.

This reminds me of how my school acts when it comes to the dress code.

During Halloween, the principal told us certain things we weren't allowed to dress up as (i.e: French maids, anything showing a lot of skin, etc.) Surely enough, the students don't listen and the next day you see girls wearing French maid outfits and other girls wearing shorts so short, it's violating the dress code. I swear some of them even looked like real hookers! eek But anyways, what did the school do about this? Absolutely nothing! >_< During lunch when they were holding a Halloween event thing, you can see those hooker girls walking around and there was not even a staff member in sight to stop them!

Well yes and no. I was a little pissed when I posted before so I understand a dress code to an extent.

as far as the taxes go, you have to consider that the taxes are also going towards everything else too so the amount of your taxes that go to the school are pretty much negligible. It's not like you can stop paying if your kid gets kicked out of public school. Your taxes also aren't going to decrease if your kid goes to a Private school. So if they're going to private school then you're not only paying the private school, but your still paying your taxes for public schools.

Back on the dress code, Things with words on it should be find as long as it didn't have and swear words or nudity. Blood was okay, guns, knives, etc. on your shirt was okay and they didn't care if your pants were shredded at the bottom and whatnot. Having to wear a school uniform, to me has always been BLAH. Sure it saves money on back to school wear, haha, but you still have to buy them clothes for non-school, so that's moot. And it's good to keep people from dressing like sluts and making them wear belts so their a** isn't hanging out or their pants aren't on the knees, but that was about all the dress code was used for.

In short though -.-;; as long as there's no uniform, I could care less, haha.

This is true, yes.

@SW;
I suppose it is better, but there should be a little freedom in what we do wear. I wouldn't be surprised if someone got in trouble for wearing a shirt with a hand peace sign on it. You know, Gang signs, and such. Just a little too far?

Also, I dunno. It is stupid, and she deserves it for wearing something with that on it, but still.

@Mar;
Actually, they do. Pictures too. Hmm, guns. There's that kid at school, another Corey. Has a Trigun hoodie, huuuuge gun on the front. Never said a thing to him about it... me, a tiny a** Hellsing shirt, a tiny a** gun on it. I was made to change. His was a lot more obvious about it. Come to think of it, it's usually girls who get in trouble over s**t. That ******** probably too busy looking at girls to notice when the guys ******** up...

I don't get it at all, though. Boo-Boo. HOW does that offend ANYONE? Seriously. If I complained about a word on a shirt, just any random word, it'd be the same exact thing. Like a shirt involving uh... cooking. A picture of a woman getting something out of the oven. Ovens ding. Ding? Oh s**t, that's like p***s. So... will they get their shirt taken away and be made to change? I really doubt it. I'm going to scope peoples shirts out, and just try this next week.

Also, my name in Japanese club is "Plentiful."
To on one boob, yo on the other.
I'd like to see them try and stop me.

Maybe he only pays attention to what he sees, and his eyes are always seeing breasts. You should get a shirt that says "my face is up here."

My old school let me wear my Naruto Headband as an actual headband. Boys weren't allowed to wear it though, because then they were a gang member instantly. Understandable though, this is the school I went to with at least 3 pregnant girls a year, thanks to gang members, so a gang of secret ninjas at lunch could count as worrysome.

In my opinion some things are pretty risky to wear, and quite frankly don't wear them if they are. Though, another thing is because sex really is thought about ten times more then ever before, people make sexual jokes out of everything and things are riskier then they were before, which sucks in some respects.

I have a dress code at my school. Personally, I don't care.

The rules are you need a solid colored polo shirt with khaki/navy/black pants with a belt. There are a bucket load of other technicalities, but they're not worth mentioning.

I can see how people hate it, but eh. =/

Some dress code things are ridiculous, though some are understandable. Like clothing and backpacks depicting alcoholic images. Not exactly appropriate for high school, amirite? Though, for a week last year, on my birthday, I got away with wearing black and pink cat ears. My gov't teacher was pretty lenient about it, and he's usually strict as hell when it comes to the dress code, which is why I had to hide my Many Deaths Of Kenny shirt when I wore it to school, so I'd leave my coat on, or press my chest against my desk so the images of a dying cartoon child wouldn't be seen and I wouldn't have to turn my shirt inside-out.
