My cousin introduced me to his prize character, I suppose you can say, Drizzt, back when I was nine years old. Well, I read into the his books based on that character shortly after. A great, and long going sets of series. Well, later, I came across some of his other books and began reading outside of those other books, expanding to many other characters. Well, talking with others that like his material, I was introduced to many different authors, of great calibre. I suppose you can say that if it wasn't for his writings, I may not be reading much at all. haha If you like the fantasy category, then he is an excellent find as an author.

Thanks. Yes, I have heard that Terry Brooks is an excellent author, and I heard the Avalon series you mentioned is great. I love to hear about new authors so that I may read more and more. I will look into these. Hopefully, the Science Fiction Book Club has at least some of them! haha

Well I find most of Salvatore's work to be pretty good reading. Except for one major problem. His inability to let die. I swear I have never seen more times when characters narrowly avoid death or somehow cheat death or otherwise survive possible situations. Most obvious in every Drizzt book.

Well, that and when they do die, they come back in some way! haha Also, I would really like to see him stop the Drizzt books. He was suppose to stop like three books ago, and now he has another 3 books coming. I love his books on Cadderly though. He also does well with the Demon Wars saga, yet, again, goes on too long. ***Spoiler Alert*** Although, you may like to know that his main character doesn't manage to cheat death. haha

Oh things will end, inevitably, for Drizzt & friends. If you're 100% up to date on the storyline, you'll know that Salvatore is building to a climax to finish the saga 3nodding

Yes, I just finished up with the latest of Drizzt books, but I need to finish The Sell Swords trilogy. I just got "Promise of the Witch-King", and I just need to get "Road to the Patriarch". I enjoyed his Demon Wars Saga though. It was nice to read about some other characters. haha

You'll like Promise of the Witch-King & Road to the Patriarch. RottP is a little better but both are really amazing 3nodding Road to the Patriarch is a very informative book, you learn a lot... A lot you never expected to learn about someone

I liked the sellswords trilogy alot. Good to see Artemis get his own series instead of following on the coattails of Drizzt all the time.
