A thought occurred to me as I fantasized our coming overtaking of the world: wouldn't it look spectacular on the big screen?

Over the months I have come up with several potential plots for this media invasion. Perhaps a standard bunch-of-people-taking-over-the-world affair, with lots of guns and cgi mecha, perhaps even the odd dark and introspective moment where somebody dies or we question our own motives. One more recent idea I had was that it could be set in some kind of invasion academy, much like Invader Zim but serious. All potential overlords enter the space-bourne academy at level 1 and must perform virtual invasions against other candidates until they are able to beat a tutor. Then they move on to level 2, where they are given more resources and so on. At level 3 or maybe 4 their virtual army is transfered from the computer screen to real life, with biologically created minions and everything, and they are set to work invading another planet somewhere. At level 5 they become tutors themselves. I would be the prodigious protagonist, and you lot would be elements in my virtual army, who are then made real by the power of advanced science. To add some further interest, we could have a further character as a rival overlord, who works hard but whose heart isn't in the right place, and who tries to better the protagonist at every turn. I was thinking an Ouendan 2-style confrontation where they are both sent to the same planet to take it over together, but something happens and they end up trying to kill each other. Perhaps they kill one of you and I get really angry and turn on them in the middle of a critical firefight. Who knows?
