Dear Journal-thing or whatever-

Today's just turning out to be spectacular. I went to bed late last night -er, early this morning- expecting nothing to wake me until the noon alarm I set started beeping endlessly. The best laid plans often suck, apparently, because my sleep patterns are obviously unimportant to the pointy thing made mostly of circles. (Note to self, look up what that's actually called.) Anyway, I was woken up right in the middle of a good dream. Something about someone baking a cake for me or somesuch.

It set my supplies on fire. The expensive stuff, too. Even when I flew in steaming, apparently the thing didn't care. God only knows what would have happened had it set that book on fire. This thing's either out to get me or a born troublemaker. Either way, I'm going to have some INCREDIBLY fun times with this kid.

Ever since I got this weapon-thing from the Center, the entire place has gotten ten times more chaotic than before. The little red book didn't seem to be any trouble at all when I first found him -hence why I was willing to take on more responsibility. Maybe if I'm lucky, when they grow, the sane one will actually help me. At this point, however, he doesn't seem to care either way.

Only a few days have passed since I first got the book, but it seems I have my work cut out for me with this one. Honestly, as much as I wish I had two relaxed sentient objects, it would be incredibly boring without this little troublemaker around. I have to admit, I don't even know him yet, and our relationship is already impossible to describe. Maybe later on, whe

Ugh. I have to go. It looks like it's realized that the gas from the stove makes the flames bigger. Wish me luck finding a solution that keeps my house from burning down!

Love,
Aoxy

Dear Journal-thing or whatever-

Today I went to the grocery store to get some food. I was almost completely out, so I had to do something. I couldn't leave those two alone in the house together, so I had to take them both with me. To tell the truth, I didn't get much shopping done. The chakram led me around like a kid dragging a stuffed animal on a leash. What's in there, it's pretty strong. At least nothing caught on fire. He was rather well-behaved -and by that, I mean he didn't make anything randomly burst into flames. It was... Eventful, however. Met a few people in the same situation as me. Not the same, precisely, but close enough.

Dear Journal-thing or whatever-

I brought Axel to the zoo today. He seemed to enjoy it a lot. ...Me, not so much. He was too excited the entire time, especially after we met up with a couple of ACC children and their guardians. There was lucy and Rein, along with Kiarei and Kagome. He was the only male of the bunch, but it didn't seem like he was too concerned about that. What a player. A few things caught fire, some things glowed, and there was a lot of running. I'm tired, but he's still acting rambunctious. Maybe I'll be able to coax him to sleep. I left Eiri at home, since I trust him not to cause any trouble. I'm relatively positive that he was asleep the entire day (which wouldn't be surprising), and I found him in the same place I left him this morning. I'm going to try to take a nap. I'll talk to you later, okay?

Toddler Quest: Axel!
Is your name Axel or the Human Torch? Look at all that fire bubbling up inside you! Oh well, it's your turn to grow too. And it seems your little flames are going to get you in trouble. You're going to set something on fire. What is it that you set on fire? How far does it spread before it's put out? Or for that matter.. DOES it get put out? What results from the fire you have started, and what is your guardian going to do to try and prevent this from happening again?

"Axel, I thought I told you yesterday to stop playing with the pots. You have other, quieter toys, you know." For a moment, the baby looked up to her with a curious expression before smilling and going back to his 'music'. His arms weren't strong enough to actually lift up the pots and clang them together, so for now he settled with banging them with a wooden spoon. "Fine, then just do that." She sighed, rubbing her eyes tiredly. With two babies in the house now, she had twice as much work and half the time to rest as she usually did.

From the other room came a cry that she hadn't been expecting for at least another year. If Yuki was crying... It must be serious. She shot out of the kitchen and in a heartbeat was at the other door, but then turned around and ran back to the kitchen to deliver one final order. "Don't you dare move away from those pots, okay? Hit them as loudly as you want until I come back." She mandated, however much she doubted that he would listen. All she received in return was a smile an a giggle -as expected.

She'd been cooking something for herself to eat, but it wouldn't burn in the two minutes it took to check up on the second baby of the household. Soon she returned to the kitchen, holding the now-sleeping infant in her arms. "Don't scare me like that." She whispered before kissing him on the forehead. Before she saw it, she felt it. The warm sensation that happened whenever the redhead had done something bad. Most of the kitchen was in flames. Panicked ideas ran through her head. Try to put it out? No, it was already too late for that. Plus, she couldn't endanger them like that. So, he only other option was take the kids, get out of the house, and call the fire department. Boy, she was going to have a fun time explaining this one.

"Axel!" She called, but there was no response. No playful giggle, no smile anywhere to be found. It took almost a minute to find him, at which time the fire was threatening to take the entire room by force. He was sitting almost in the center of the room, staring at the flames intently. "Axel!" She said again, scooping him up quickly and running to the door. His eyes stayed on the spreading fire, the smile gone and replaced instead by a spark in his eyes that almost threatened to extend the destruction.

Now that they were safely outside of the house and across the street, she sat down on the sidewalk and coughed. She'd managed to stay low enough to avoid most of the smoke and keep it out of Eiri's mouth, but she'd still inhaled inhaled a bit. She flipped out her cell phone and quickly dialed the police, informing them of the situation and her address. "I just... I just don't know what to do with you." She couldn't very well punish him for it -he didn't know any better. as much as I'd love for you to be able to have fun all you want, I don't have enough money or enough houses for you to do this, Axel. You can't. You just can't."

From now on, she was putting fire extinguishers all around the house. This wasn't going to happen again, she'd make sure of it. It would be awkward enough to explain this the first time, not to mention almost impossible the second.

Ambulances, police cars, and firetrucks pulled into the neighborhood quickly, followed by the now-gathering crowd of spectators. They'd later explain to her that although most of the house was unharmed, both the kitchen and the den were lost. And to their surprise, there were multiple starting points for the fire that began at virtually the same time. They said it was impossible. But she knew better.

"Well, guys, it seems like I'm going to be eating out for a while."
