 ...but satisfaction brought it back.
Tail wagged gently, poised to leap, his head in his paws, keen turquoise eyes scanning the foiliage on the ground, looking for that one, small piece of movement. It'd come sooner or later. Ears twitched slightly as that rustle came, and he was nstantly off, adrenaline in his body propelling the young pup forwards as he leapt onto the...centipede.
Rorak had never seen one before, though. He backed off a little, quickly pushing his nose into the creature, then leaping backwards with a yelp as he felt it's small legs tickle his nose. Bringing a paw up to bat his nose, the pup shook his head. What the hell what is!? Why did it make his nose feel tingly? in the time he'd been thinking and 'curing' his nose of it's itchiness, the centipede had crawled off, leaving Rorak very much alone.
And bored. Boredom wasn't nice. Ears drooped slightly as the pup glanced around, hoping to see something or perhaps someone that might play with him. No-one - it was barren around here. But then - what was it Lilith had said? The big nice lady who'd let him into the pack? He ahd to use the call - and tell them she said they had to play with him! Oh! He could play tag with them!
But what was the call again? Rocking back into a sitting position, the brown pup lifted his head, trying out a howl. Only...it didn't come out right. Not like Lilith's had been. Pouting slightly, he tried again, getting a little better - but still not too much. His howl was too high-pitched - perhaps because he was a pup still?

Karrim grumbled, the big oaf rolling on his side as the light shone into the cave, telling him his wake up call had been hours ago. At that very moment he felt just like a pup begging their parents to give them just 15 more minutes of sleep. If 15 was too much, he'd take 10 or maybe even 5, just as long as he didn't have to get up right at that second. Problem was, pups didn't have very many responsibilities or duties, they were allowed to sleep in and he was already late on the waking up duty. After another minute of lazing around he told himself this was unacceptable and pulled his body into a sitting possition. Now he was up, he had no urge to go back to sleep but he didn't have an urge to leave the den either. What was his problem? He was never this lazy. Maybe it was the weather... or something... This was it, the big moment! Karrim let out a huge yawn, showing all his pearly white teeth, as he leaned forward, butt wiggling in the air along with his tail, and stretched.
Now he was feeling slightly better, at least he was ready to greet the sunlight and that he did, leaving his cave and laziness behind. There was yet another problem, he had so many things to do he didn't know what to do first. He could go freshen up at the pond and try to impress Lilith but he doubted that would work... she'd probably just get angry with him. He could check on the pack, go check out the outskirts to see if any stray wolves had come close, he could go out recruiting or... his ears twitched as a pitiful sound reached his ears. Was that supposed to be a howl? He didn't know, but he knew one thing... if whatever was doing that kept it up he'd be deaf before he saw his next meal.
Problem solved, he'd go check out that hideous noise and then he could figure out what to do with himself. So, hauling his big body across the pack meeting area, Karrim followed his aching ears to go find out whatever was causing all the trouble. For a wolf worried about losing his hearing he seemed to be in awfully high spirits. Humming to himself, the large wolf trotted towards the sound, treading lightly for such a big animal. He'd figure out what that noise wa--... His stomach grumbled and he sighed, of course, he'd forgotten breakfast. Well! He'd figure the noise out, and THEN he'd see about breakfast.

ooc|| Rorak kinda...grew xD So he's not a pup anymore. Hmm.

Lifting his head again, once more he tried to release the sound from his maw, and let it flow out into the air. But no - it just outright refused. He was always so much better at it at night. When the moon was out. He did like the moon - his guide of sorts, that showed him everywhere.
And boy, he had grown while here. Stretching his legs slightly, Rorak trotted over to a small puddle, probably caused by the down-pour of rain they'd had, glancing at his appearence. A little lanky perhaps, and his tail was a little long, too. One ear was a little wonky, but he looked pretty damn good if he didn't say so himself. Flashing a cheesy grin to his reflection, the adolescent ducked his head, taking a small sip of the puddle, soon wrinkling his nose. Yuck.
Note to self: Don't drink water from puddles. It's muddy.
But everything still came back to the same two problems. Firstly, he was bored. A game would cheer him up, but he'd need the right kind of wolf. Not one that told him he was being immature. Even if he was a little. Tail began a slow wagging rhythm, Rorak frowning a little. Well, he just wanted to have fun. But then of course, the second problem was that he couldn't seem to get the howl right, so couldn't call anyone.
Today wasn't a good day.
