Let me preface my post by saying that I'm not trying, nor do I particularly *want* consciously to become pregnant. I also use birth control pills religiously, but don't use condoms because I'm allergic to latex and rubber condoms are expensive and break a lot anyway. I've been using the Pill for about 4 years, and have never gotten pregnant before.
That said, does anyone else get that feeling every month like, "Maybe I'm pregnant...."?
I've been getting that kind of feeling every month, even before I was sexually active. Sometimes I would wonder if it would be one of those "surprise" pregnancies, where I wouldn't find out until it was way past the point where I could abort (which, personally, would be nice if such a thing happened, because then I could feel that I wouldn't be somewhat forced into doing the "responsible" thing and aborting, if you know what I mean).
And sometimes, I feel like that's somewhat all I'm good for...like, the reason I have boobs and ample hips and stuff is because my body looks a lot like the typical "breeder" type of woman who has lots of kids (not to be offensive, but I get that kind of treatment from people who assume I have a bunch of kids out of wedlock and that I'm also still in high school or dropped out or something (I'm 22, and graduated from college)).
Anyway, I wonder if anyone else gets that feeling, almost a bit between a tickle in your stomach and this amazing feeling of anticipation and excitement.
Of course, there are also anxieties, like what significant others might think, or family might think, or whatever, so there is a relief when I actually start bleeding....but there's also this slight aching sadness each time.
I wonder if anyone else has a similar feeling, and if so, how do you deal with it, or feel about it?

Well I only had one pregnancy scare before I did become pregnant. I was never paranoid, had a really good track record of being safe. When I became pregnant I sorta had one of those weird "I didn't take a test but I know I'm pregnant."

I had that feeling alot... and like marshmellow when it actually happened i didnt even take a test I knew I was before I even missed my period.

No, I don't get that feeling. While it is possible to get pregnant even when you're using protection, if you use the protection correctly, the chances are so small that you shouldn't have to worry and wonder every month.

evn before we where activly trying I wondered every month is something was a bit off.
NOw that we're trying I've taken it to a whole new level. I, just lke all women TTC, obsess over symptoms from from sex-menstuation. Sadly we TTC-ers tend to get attached to a pregnancy that doesn't exsist without realizing it fairly often so we get a nice side of heart-break with our cramps crying
