Rin-ji wasn't so sure he could concentrate with her acting like this. Still, he stretched his arms above his head before falling into a similar position. He had grown stronger from work and practice and was looking slightly less awkward in his own skin.
"Forgive me if I'm a little distracted today," he warned her, slightly amused. He started with falling to the ground, aiming a low and sweeping kick for her ankles. He moved decently fast, and it could be said that he had at least not gotten any worse and there was more confidence in the movement.

Li Ren had rarely enjoyed herself as much as she was at the moment. So much so that she hadn't entirely thought through the fact that she was wearing a very formal gown made of heavy materials with an irritatingly long skirt.
Normally, Li Ren would have made a well-timed jump to avoid Rin-ji's attack and it was her natural reaction in this instance, but without the desired results. As she lifted off the ground, her foot tangled in her skirt and the long fabric was caught by Rin-ji's kick as it swept by, sending Li Ren falling back onto the ground and landing with a solid thud.
It took her a moment to comprehend what had happened and she groaned in a very unladylike manner. "Ow," she said simply, propping herself up with one of her elbows as she winced. "Whoever taught you that move deserves to have their a** kicked." She held out a hand toward Rin-ji, though she had no intention of allowing herself to be pulled up.

"I think you just did it for me." Rin-ji grinned proudly and readily accepted her hand, not expecting any fowl play. For the moment he was high on both his ability to knock Li Ren down and the afterglow of the kisses. "I would have been very impressed if you were able to leap around in all those skirts."

Li Ren easily overpowered Rin-ji as she grasped his hand and pulled him down beside her. She laughed as he fell and her look was triumphant and she was clearly satisfied that they were even now. To any onlooker, they would have appeared to be an indecent pile of limbs; a young noblewoman and her servant caught up in some sort of tryst.
"Would you believe that I forgot I was in this monstrosity? I think it would suit you far better," she teased, elbowing him.

Rin-ji laughed with her, quickly rolling onto his side to face her and keep his eyes on Li Ren for as long as possible. "I'd look hideous in that thing, we both know that," he joked back, running his fingers over one of the silky hems of her sleeves. "The cloth is pretty soft, though. I bet it's comfortable, and it smells nice," he murmured, relaxation and sleepiness beginning to creep into his voice. After a long and painfully stressful day, the second he felt himself relaxing it all seemed to overcome him. But he was exhausted and happy, at least.

Li Ren exhaled audibly and the moment still seemed so unreal. It was strange to be lying in the dirt, particularly when there was a boy next to her and especially when that boy happened to be Rin-ji. All the adrenaline from earlier had dissipated and Li Ren felt the sleepiness overwhelming her as well.
As she looked at Rin-ji, all she wanted to think about was this very moment. But her brain and her sense of self-preservation had other ideas. She had snuck out to come rescue him. If her parents discovered her missing, that would be the end of everything and there would be no 'next times' with Rin-ji.
"I have to go," she said as she pushed off the ground and her voice was a strange mix of urgency and grogginess.

"Hey, wait," he objected, sitting up after her with a slightly slower reaction time. Logically he knew why she was leaving, so he didn't ask that. "I want to see you again. Soon." He pleaded urgently.

As Li Ren gathered up her skirts, she stopped to look back at Rin-ji. "Tomorrow. You know where."
Without giving him a chance to reply, she looked around for any witnesses and disappeared into the dark.
