"Me? Settle down? Right around never, probably," Petch gave a short laugh. "Can't think of any reason why I'd ever want to." Someone else might have wanted to travel to the Northern Water Tribe, in Petch's case to seek out his father, but Petch had no desire to travel back to the home his mother had run away from.
"Really can't beat just traveling from place to place and seeing the world."

"You can't think of any reason at all that you would settle down? What if, um...what if you met the most perfect person ever," here she threw her arms wide, as if to elaborate her point. "And they didn't want to travel?"
Weirdest senario ever, but it was the first thing that popped into her head, and she did have a terrible tendancy to blurt out the first thing she thought.
"I guess it'd be nice to see different places, but...I really do like knowing the area, and when I go out, I know there's a home to go to, like it's the one place I know is there for just me."
Avani paled a little and frowned. "I'm a little nervous, not knowing what I'll do once I get there. I guess I like having something set, that I know for sure."

"Then they wouldn't be the most perfect person ever," Petch replied, as if that was completely obvious. "Besides, I wouldn't change my life for someone else." He thought to his mother. No, he definitely wouldn't let anyone else dictate the way he lived his life.
"Just wing it," was all the advice he could give to Avani. "And there's always someone looking for cheap labour."

Avani huffed as Petch hadn't seemed to give a straight answer to her question. "Really? Well that seems....a bit strange to me."
Her life had changed when her mother and brother had left home, but not so much from them leaving, but Lei not leaving and needing her. So while she would have left home earlier in life, she had altered that to stay with Lei.
"Heh. Wing it," the only advice that she didn't think she could ever follow easily. "I hate being cheap labor!" she cried girlishly, stomping her foot. "I don't wanna do it anymore."
