Bio:Before changing his last name to Hokou, he came from the Azuma family. His family were a nomadic clan of fire users and blacksmiths, particularly known for their ability to touch fire without burning. He took the Chuunin exams at age 13, and failed 4 times before becoming Chuunin at age 15. Age 18 he became a Jounin. After becoming a genin, though, be was banished from his clan for supposedly betraying them, and in turn having them slaughtered. Because he never inherited the kekkei genkai of the Azuma bloodline, he creates his own jutsus and trained to mimic them, which he was successful at. His dream, until reaching Jounin rank, was to recreate the legendary Amatarasu Jutsu. he researched until he could create his own version of it.
