My sister was looking at Death Note volume 12 and found the part where Mello died and said what if Matt came back to life and Beat the crap out of Mello with a baseball bat.Instead of Mello getting his name wrote in the Death Note.And it reminds Me of another anime called Higurashi no naku koro ni.

 Seriously xD I think it would have been better if they BOTH ended up not dying....somehow. Then found each other and lived happily ever after :B
Anywho, the only reason why I can think that Matt would ever....want to do that. Was if Mello didn't react at all to his death. Some people can argue that he didn't--but Mello DID!
The very fact that they are 'friends' proves something--In the WHOLE series, they're the only ones with a real relationship! AND Mello apologizes to Matt for basically getting him killed(even though it was Hal's fault!).
In the anime they make him sound nonchalant D< Bu~t..in the manga, he says 'forgive me, Matt' You don't say 'forgive me' over something tiny or to a meaningless friend. It's like your begging to be exonerated.
Lalaa...anywho, I was blabbering. :D The End.

I wouldn't really see that happening either cuz even though Mello or Matt had no idea that Matt would die like that crying I'm sure they knew of the sorts of risks they were taking doing all that craziness.
And know I feel the need to go into my rant! xd :
If Mello didn't love Matt so much and were willing to see stupid Takada naked and not let her have that blanket, he would have seen the Death Note and her phone and taken them away cuz she hid them in her bra... then he would have lived! Cuz I'm sure that even if stupid Raito and/or Mikami still made Takada die and set everything on fire, Mello could get away from it since he managed to get out of something like that before... but of course there really isn't any way that Matt could have gotten out of everything alive other than recklessly run all the cops over... and that would have a low chance of succeeding... though if he did they could live happily ever after [course they'd have to hide from the cops, but who cares?] heart

Yeah, I agree...If Mello had been a little more careful about getting EVERYTHING off of Takada (as much as we just KNOW how much Mello LOVES naked women >>") he would have survived....But Matt....I just dont think there was much he could have done about that....THAT was all entirely HAL'S fault, and plus, the poor kid was surrounded...what COULD he do...?
And plus, if only one of them were to live, then....How WOULD they live? lols
Matt would probably just like...kill himself if mello died without him...
And Mello....well, he would probably wallow in his angst for the rest of his life...
Either way, I guess if they HAVE to die, it HAS to be the both of them...
But uh....I would have LIKED it if they were to both live ^^ that would have made my day <3~

Um, I kept trying to think of a way for Matt to not die... and I couldn't think of anything except giving him an armoured vehicle that was extremely bulletproof... but of course they have no money so they couldn't afford that... well that's just what I'm speculating. And Mello should've worn a more opaque helmet...

xD Why would Matt do that? Hes to loyal to Mello to do something like that.
o_o.... Higurashi otherwise known as When They Cry. Even the thought of that anime terrifies me right now. It freaked the heck outta me!
