War rages on in the fourth edition of Activision's acclaimed war game. For the first time in the series, Call of Duty moves away from WWII to the modern battlefield.
# Modern Arsenal – Bringing the epic battle and cinematic intensity to modern warfare, players enlist using the latest modern weaponry, advanced battle tactics and coordinated land-air support
# Gameplay Variety –Various missions immerse players into the intensity of conflict whether they’re repelling onto an enemy-infested cargo ship, flying through battle zones to provide air-support, or infiltrating enemy positions to free hostages
# Traverse Global Hotspots – Battle across the streets of civil war zones through Eastern Europe, rural Russia, the Middle East, and aboard a ship in the North Atlantic
# New Character Roles – Fight alongside allies and work toward a common goal within the context of a larger war as a member of the U.S. Marines and British S.A.S.
# Next-Gen Multiplayer – 16-player multiplayer with new game modes, stat tracking, “persistence points” for accomplishments, “experience points” to unlock weapons for advanced players and extensive clan support

That game looked pretty awesome at E3.
My friend got invited to the Beta. He didn't even do anything either. He just randomly got a message on Xbox Live about it. Lucky b*****d.

Well I managed to get a Beta token from Gamestop, so I downloaded the Beta. It's really awesome. I can't wait until it comes out.

If there is the slightest interest in this game nudged in any crevice of your brain, BUY THIS GAME.
I was invited and played the beta on the Xbox 360. Needless to say, it was one HELL of a First Person Shooter, in all aspects. Controls are fluid, as well as the camera. The game runs at a constant 60 frames per second, with very rare instances of lag after extended periods of time playing (overheating xboxes in the heat of southern California summers).
The rank and perks system have got to be the best integration of unlockable equipment in any FPS, and remarkably stay balanced. There is no "alpha" perk from what I saw. Everyone was using everything!
I've been playing Halo 3 multiplayer for a week now. I miss CoD. The beta servers were amazing, yet I feel a little shafted in some of my Halo matches. My melee hits never seemed to not register when playing CoD...
Have I already broken the EULA already?
Oh yeah: for every kill streak (3, 5, and 7 atm) you get to use a UAV, call in airstrike, or call in helo support. Pretty awesome.

my whole family are big CoD fans, we went to preorder it a few days ago biggrin cant wait to get it.

It is well worth it.ive sold gears for £20 and traded in some games... now ive bought the game... guess what? 3 red ******** know the british phone number to reclaim my 3yr warranty? please PM or post here cheers
