In 2008, there will be a third film of Death Note. It will be name as L Movie. The story circles in the life of L before the Case. There will be Near and Mello.

There is no Mello or Near in it. If you look at the site you can clearly see the cast. If they are cameos though, it'd be a good thing.
And there is something about 23 days [from what I gather], so its possible it might be his time before his end. But I thought this was a prequel?

Personally, although L is one of my favorite characters, I think that will be a bit boorish...T-T

Haha..
I saw the first two at the Internation Film Festival.
They were one after the other.
One of my friends tried to sit in the L postion throughout the first movie.
..She didn't get far before she got cramp.
xp
But, my god did your arse hurt after watching both even if there was a 15 minute intermission...

Gosh, no Near and Mello? They'll never get their due. ;-;
But apparently I had heard somewhere that the movie will feature a girl genius who competes with L. While some will point their finger a la Phoenix Wright and shout, "OBJECTION!", I say it's pretty cool. It's about time we've had a strong Death Note female lead, who cares if it's exclusively movie canon, as long as L doesn't fall into the OOC trap when he's with her.
I hope this might feature the BB Case, too.

i thought the movie was gonna be about the BB case? because if it is Mello should be the narrator for it really

o...m...g...I think my brain just explouded with the thought of baby L. I wish it were anime though. I don't particularly like the live-action L. Either way, it should be kickass.
