If anyone has played this game, please share with me... not a game linking site code... your personal experience in how do you awaken Celebi?

Well, actually, you don't awaken him until way later. You awaken him near the end of the game.
First you have to capture and purify all of the shadow Pokemon, then you can call Celebi so that the Pokemon aren't harmed again afterward. But, you must capture all of the shadow Pokemon first and Purify them.

As far as I know, Celebi is a pokemon that you can only get by using a game shark (both gamecube and GBA) or by a nintendo giveaway (for the handheld versions). I've played Pokemon Colosseum, and you can't get one unless you trade one from one of the GBA versions. However, I know you can get a Ho-Oh by completing these conditions: 1. Beat Evice(Cipher Head) in story mode 2. Beat Mt. Battle in story mode 3. Beat Mt. Battle in battle mode
Once you complete all three, Ho-Oh will be in your pokemon storage in story mode. I know this is true because a friend of mine did this.

But Game shark is illegal in Canada. So, there has to be another way to get Celebi. Perhaps by playing Pokemon XD you can get Celebi by meeting similar conditions and once you beaten the game, then use the time flute and because you have purified all of the Pokemon, it wants to be in your party.
You can then go to the Pokemon Center in the town with the Pre Gym and trade it to your GBA game, which then and only then can you trade it to your DS version.
