|---> JD is indeed the main character. But even though he's a whiny emo brat, he does have his good moments. Like I said, it's one of those shows you have to stick with. If I'd only seen one or two of the episodes, I probably wouldn't have liked it either.
(Of course, it helps that JD is a huge Harry Potter fan, which means major points scored in my book even though the subject isn't mentioned too often.)
Many of the other characters are idiots a lot of the time - Elliot's insecure and a little whorish, Carla's bossy and sometimes just plain annoying and Turk, though I generally like him, is sometimes too taken with himself. But Jordan, Dr Cox and The Janitor are all good characters, and Dr Kelso has his moments too. Ted's great to laugh at, Keith (from Seasons 5 and 6) is sometimes adorably clueless and Lonnie's just cool. So overall, it's worth watching. <---|
