The world was so big, much larger than her family's den where she'd spent the beginning of her young life. It pulsed and hummed with it's beat, each tree and thing having it's own tune and sound, it was so noisy sometimes. But that was just the way Gharadi liked it, full of wonder, enough to keep her engaged for hours on end. Yet, so many questions arose, most her parents couldn't answer for her. Why did the sun shine? What is this? What is that? Why? Why not? It seemed the cub couldn't get enough of the outside world.
Today she'd managed to slip away on a solitary expedition from the rest of her family, a green form trotting through the waving grass. Each blade was a source of wonder, and thus needed to be inspected fully and tasted for further reference. An ear twitched at the nearly inaudible sound of another tune entering on the scene. Light silver eyes swept the nearby terrain, finally resting on something she'd never seen before. Laying precariously atop a pebble, was a common grasshopper. To her though, a strange new creature, and to herself Gharadi began to hum it's tune as she crept forwards towards it, met by her new inquiry leaping away. The chase was on...
"I'm gonna ge'you! Ooh~"
Though a flash of what she thought was something through the rippling grass sent her mind off her quarry, finding nothing the green cub set chase once more, paws scrabbling against the earth as she looked for the grasshopper. Yet it was no-where to be found, light eyes soon realized, so, she set to her last resort for finding something she couldn't see. Gharadi listened for it. Though not how others would listen, from the chirps of it, or the scratching of it's legs.
She listened for it's song. Eyes squeezed shut and the femme looked around, ears twitching in all different directions, head flicking this-way and that. At the moment she looked quite foolish, but it was apparently working, as, still in this position, she bounded once more through the tall grass.
