Hello everyone out there on General Discussion and welcome to my humble little thread. The whole point of this thread is to nullify my boredom and to get a few laughs and maybe a decent stand point from some one else. Now, this thread is situated around me providing one fictional character and you all trying to provide me some one who is capable of besting him/her in a battle to the death. Now, this isn't a mindless "who is more popular" contest. Through pleasant or heated discussion you must prove that the character you provided would succeed or vice versa. So with out further ado, the set up!

In the left corner!

Superman aka Kal El aka Clark Kent aka The Last son of Krypton aka The Man of Steel

Powers

- Superhuman Strength: Superman possesses incredible physical strength. He has shown the ability to easily lift sky scrapers, submarines, oil tankers, aircraft, alien star ships and similar extremely heavy objects with ease. He is also capable of moving most of the weight of a moon of earth with some difficulty and to tear through smaller moons in anger.

- Superhuman Speed: Superman possesses incredible speed whether on the land or in the air. On foot he is capable of keeping up with his fellow hero The Flash, who has been noted to be able to run at basically the speed of light. While in the air Superman can break even that speed, which can be seen from him going from Earth to Saturn in under five minutes or from Earth to the Sun in seconds. (In both cases he was extremely angry.)

- Superhuman Agility: Superman possesses incredible agility on both land, sea and air. He has shown the ability to keep up with and actively dodge dozens of laser streams or to catch the bullets that ricochet off his chest so that innocent bystanders wouldn't be harmed.

- Superhuman Durability: Superman possesses incredible durability and stamina. He has shown the capability to fight hours upon hours at peak capacity or to continue near peak level no matter how terrible the wounds he has sustained.

- Invulnerability: Superman possesses an invisible bio-field that covers his entire body and anything with in a few millimeters of his skin. This field renders him virtually impenetrable. Bullets easily bounce off his chest, missiles only startle him, orbital defense satellite' laser canons on tickle. To actually break Superman's skin extreme physical strength near his own is necessary, magical items or kryptonite weaponry will work as well.

- Intellect: Superman possesses a genius level intellect. This can be seen with his chats with the big brains of DC like John Henry Iron, Ray Palmer and Will Magnus. He understands physics, machine repair, biology and several other fields of science to a great degree.

- Healing: Superman can heal at a rate several hundred times faster than a human being though it isn't necessarily an actual healing factor. Depending on the wound and how it was dealt he can recover from it in a few minutes or in a few hours. Few wounds can actual last longer then this. Superman's immune system is also at the level that most non-magical diseases can affect him and most poisons are quickly eliminated.

- Flight: Superman possesses the ability to defy gravity and propel himself through the air, in water or through space.

- Lung Power: Superman has an amazing set of lungs. He is able to hold his breath for close to days, this aiding in space travel or in hostile environments. He is also able to pressurize the air in his lungs so that he can breath out gale force winds or flash freeze enemies.

- Vision: Superman eyes are a total miracle. He is capable seeing miles upon miles away from his current position, viewing things on a microscopic level, peel back all forms of matter save lead with his mind for a kind of "X-ray vision" and can see the entire electromagnetic spectrum. For offense purposes he is capable of unleashing beams of pure heat from his eyes. This "Heat Vision" can range in intensity from a warm glow to an assault equal to a nuclear stock pile going off.

- Hearing: Superman possesses incredible hearing. He is capable of hearing conversations going on all around the world. In one of the most extreme showings of his powers Superman spent several days in the ionosphere listening to the entire planet, trying to find the sound of a specific type of engine, which he found in several moments after being told the signature by his allies in the JLA.

- Mental power: Superman is highly resistant to psychic tampering of all but the highest order because he is capable of raising his mind to a Theta state, into a purely mental realm where he can fight purely psychic foes.

- Training: Superman is a veteran of the battle field. He is well versed in multiple forms of armed and unarmed combat and can learn new ones quickly and on the fly. On top of this he is versed in using almost any form of weapon known to exist. On several occasion where his powers were taken away he has proven that he is a better martial artist than Batman, who is one of the greatest on the planet Earth. Superman's capability in fighting was further augmented when he spent 1,000 years fighting alongside Wonder Woman and the Gods of Aesir in a Ragnarok like dimension.

In the right corner!

Ok, now this is how this part goes. I'll give you a profile for you to fill out. Once you've filled it out post it in this thread. It will be on a first come, first serve basis and all profiles submitted after I accept one will be ignored. Fell free to re-submit them when I next start accepting. Any challenges made that are not in the form provided will be ignored and possibly ridiculed.

Username: This is pretty straightforward.
Character's name: The name of the character you will be submitting for a fight.
Appearance: A picture please.
Powers: This can be a simple listing but in depth descriptions are loved.
Weapons: As with powers.
Series: What series are they from?

Rules on Submitting a character

1) The character must be from an existing series. No original or Made up characters are allowed to participate.
2) No Omnipotent or Extreme God Level characters. I'm talking about character who can warp reality on a Universal scale or are basically invincible. So this rules out people like God, Lord of Nightmares, etc.
3) More will be added as I see fit.

Win Scenario

This is a plain and simple fight to the death. If you character normally doesn't kill...well...those poor bastards. If one opponent is not easily killable or does not have a state where death can be called then a win will be awarded if they can be effectively incapacitated, i.e. knocked unconscious, put to sleep or damaged to the point regeneration or movement is impossible.

Current Fight

Bigby Wolf vs. Superman

Challengers who have succeeded.

- The Silver Surfer (Marvel Comics)

Challengers who have stalemated.

None

Challengers who have failed.

- Doomsday (DC comics)

- The Commander (Total Annihilation)

Thread Rules

1) I am God. What I says goes in this thread.
2) This is a debate not a popularity contest. You will logically prove why your character will win or you will be ridiculed and kicked out of the thread.
3) I reserve the right to ask any Gaian to leave my thread.
4) No spamming.
5) No incessant swearing.
6) More may be added at a later date.

Headhunter

Username: Headhunter

Character's name: Spawn

Appearance: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Powers:

-Superior strength (at least to the point where he can remove a person's body parts with little trouble) and durability.

-His body is made completley of a substance known as Necroplasm, which is more or less an offshoot of Psychoplasm, the substance of which Hell is made out of. It is a powerful, magic based substance limited only by the user's imagination. Some of its most basic uses include teleportation, creating concussive blasts of energy, healing even the most dire of wounds (even losing organs which would result in a normal person's death) in a matter of moments and so forth. The energy can also be shaped into physical objects (bladed weapons and what not). In a more extreme case, the same substance was accidentally used to turn a dying man into a nearly unstoppable monstrosity known as The Heap.

-Spawn wears a living, symbitoic costume that has bonded to his central nervous system and is itself made of Necroplasm as well. The suitfeeds on souls and its theorized that this helps the suit eveolve and become more powerful over time. The suit can also add to its wearers power by drawing on ambient energy from the physical world, evil people, carrion insects, wolves and bats.

-Spawn can also draw on the knowledge and experience of 6,000 lost souls who once shared his Hellspawn abilities (but have since ascended to a higher plane of existance) in battle.

Weapons: He possesses military training and weapons expertise from his life before becoming the Hellspawn

Series: Spawn

Character's name:

Bigby Wolf (The Big Bad Wolf)

Appearence:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
(Human Form)

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
(Wolf form)

Powers/Abilities:
-In human form, Bigby is slightly stronger than the average man but has his senses so fine tuned where he can smell emtional changes in a person, sensing movement, and the like (he smokes heavily to dull his senses.
In wolf form he is roughly 2 times the size of a full grown man with the strength and endurance to crush stone with his paws and swim/survive underwater for up to 3 days. His senses also increase. His reflexes are increased, moving like the wind.
-Accelerated healing facter. It is said that the more popular the Fable is to Mundy's (normal humans) the longer they live and the harder then die. Especially true in Bigby Wolf's case (considering hes estimated to be 500+ years old). Conventional weaponry harms him but far from kills him. Magic likewise (though he is suseptable to mental magics). Even when the woodsman from from Red Riding Hood gutted him and tossed him in the river to drown, the wolf took 3 days to fully heal and leave his watery grave. (infact the only rumored ways to truely kill him is with silver and/or fire...but so far no one has been succsesful enough to accomplish it) Pain angers and agitates him, causing him to fight harder and more ruthlessly.
-The Lord of Wolves. Able to communicate with wolves who they consider a god among them.
-The winds. Being an offspring of the North Wind himself, Bigby possesses the ability to emmit hurricane strength winds and control the local winds to his bidding.
-Lycanthropy. Being treated with a magic to let him change from human to wolf form at will, Bigby can also enter an inbetween state which created the fabled "Wolfman" that Mundy's refer too. As strong as his wolf form with increased claws and bite. (His father said that Bigby also possesses the ability to shapeshift like all of his offspring, though Bigby has barely, if ever used it to spite his father)
-Wild Magic. When fighting beings of equal of stronger power than Bigby, the resulting fight can create wild magic in the area. From possesd people to spirits and earthquakes, it is random and powerful (though he cant control it, it is more like a shockwave of the fight.)

Weapons:
-Ghost. Bigby's son is a Zeypher, an invisible being of pure wind who feeds off the wind or breath of people. He gaurds his father and has a fraction of his power as well as the ability to asphixiate a person to death by feeding on their breath. Dectable to those keen to the winds.
-Profficient in hand to hand combat and weapons training (fought in both WWI and WWII as well as other wars)
-Dectective like mind, dirty fighter. Ins't afraid to exploite an enemie's weakness to its full advantage to win the fight.

Series:
Fables (DC Vertigo)

Accepted.

Honestly, I don't see Bigby standing much of a chance. He has no capability to actually hurt Superman much. Sure his claws would technically count as magical weapons but he lacks the physical strength to do that much damage with them. Superman outclasses him in speed, strength, agility, probably surpasses him in endurance and durability and equals him in breathing capability.

His son would initially do some damage, but he's not invisible and one gust of super breath, ice breath or a blast of heat vision would do away with him. Superman's no kill policy stops short of things technically not a living being and demons. Oh and most things magic.

i could see bigby taking out superman if the fight were dragged out (which he could pull off given the two could have parallel endurance)
not to mention that someone like bigby would take advantage of supermans no kill policy and the wild magic that could harm civilians if the two tangoed.

i kinda see him being something a batman in the sense that hes a quick enough thinker to buy some time to find out how to beat the man of steel. partially because he seems stubborn enough to not quit when he should.

i could see the two maybe going to a draw or bigby actually winning because of his unpredictability. i do agree that bigby isnt faster or stronger than superman but a bare balls brawl that he could bring and given how he'll do whatever it takes to win (be it cunning or underhanded tricks) means that superman cant really predict what he'll do next, which then throws him off gaurd.

then again i see superman as a swiss army knife. alot of useful applications...but none of them particularaly useful (im more of a marvel guy haha) mrgreen

Ok, trying to read through all that, I see you missed a few key things.

Superman has a no kill policy, which is normally true. But this does not extended to Demons, Robots and certain other kinds of beings. He will kill/destroy these with little indifference. Bigby doesn't fall under there, but his son does.

There are no civilians. I realized that I should have copied the full version of this thread and I will edit it correctly tomorrow. But assuming there were civilians, Clark could simply speed grab Bigby, sonic boom it into the atmosphere and let him fall unconscious from asphyxiation.

You've made two common mistakes of non-hard core fans. One is "Batman > Superman." and the other is "Superman can't fight." Both are utter myths. In canon Bruce has never beaten Clark once. Superman has also been shown to be a superior martial artist to Batman.

Moving on, this fight isn't going to be dragged out for more than twenty minutes. Magic pisses Clark off and Bigby is just completely outclassed. I see Clark slamming him half way through a sky scraper from the top floor down when he realizes Bigby can take some punishment.
