Hello, I'm trying to find out the lyrics in english about the song called Varuna by Nightmare. For some reason I like the beat of the song, the solo guitar and plain sound of the words being said. So basically I love the song, but there's one problem...I don't know what they're singing about! So if you can help translate the lyrics, I'll gladly appreciate it. 3nodding

I'll try...but I don't know many popular metaphors/sayings and whatever...so this might be difficult. Someone can probably do a better job than me, but here goes:

My Super-Bad Translation

Flapping figure
(Not really sure about this... May be 'broadly embrace that appeance' or 'flap those that apearance', depending on how many words it is... In English, I would translate as 'Soaring figure' or something, because 'flapping' is a really harsh-sounding word in English.)
Radiance is wounded

That thing I remembered that time
Now you can see them all
Don't know what 'iro asete' means...kind of guessing that line.
While I break to protect you
Ah! Guessing again here a bit!
Thinning, unstable wings are spread

Whatever is thrown, returns
If you hurt my pain faster
??? Ah, too much guessing, sorry!

Flapping Figure
Radiance is wounded

To grant your wish
I rest my wings close to you
So that this memory is sent
Certainly....lover/mistress...chest...wings...draw?
Still not really sure about this one line, I have a few of the nouns in there...but the structure is a bit confusing...maybe I have the wrong words...

My heart is scratched
Now and forever

I'm supposed to be seeing a light
I'm supposed be seeing a light
Alternate: 'I should be seeing a light'

Ah, so bad~ I'll try and find my dictionary later and get a better translation. Some sections I'm not really sure what they're talking about because the word has some synonyms, but I tried using the one that best suited the context. Also I wasn't really sure what person to translate in (as in, 1st, 2nd, 3rd) because the lyrics never say anything like 'he', or 'she', or 'I'.)

Anyways...sounds to me like it's sort of a story about someone dying to protect a loved one...but I'm not so sure.

UPDATE: Finally found my Japanese-English dictionary, fixed some sections... Probably will do some more later...but I'm tired...

Well atleast it helps me better understand what the guy is saying now. So hmm...a guy who's dying from saving a loved one huh?

This is my best attempt at a translation. Japanese lyrics are tricky, because they're pretty impressionistic and grammar tends to be weird.

That figure with beating wings . . .
Its radiance wounds.

The painted memories of that time
seem to be fading.
