you know the drill..continue the story
Violet stood ready with a bat in her hand. after this game i get to go to england! she thought. *tweet* the person in front of her was out. two outs. she was the last person of the game. the game was tied. she walked up to the plate and turned to look at her teammates, and each one had a smile on their face. violet was, of course, their star hitter and she sighed with nervousness.
she held the bat up. *whoosh!* the first ball flew by her like a train. violet shook her head and readied herself. *crack!* went the ball. she took off running but kept her eye on the ball. first base. dont catch it dont catch it! second base. its coming down now! dont catch it! third base yes! they didnt catch it! she took off for the final stratch. she slid into home with a smile on her face and waited for the answer. "SAFE!" the umpire called. the team rushed out and hugged violet on the ground.
she entered the locker room and headed for the showers. she washed herself off and got dressed into her clothes. "i love your skirt!" a teammate said as violet fixed her red flowing, knee length skirt. she grabbed her books and headed out to the field. well, this is it. she told herself as she walked to the middle of the field.

The last time I will ever step foot on thsi feild.
Violet blinked constantly as she fought back the tears that were vreapin to her eyes. This place held so many memories for her. It had been like her home away from home and now she had to say good bye to it. She had to give up her one chance at fullfilling her dreams so that she could meet her mothers expectations and be 'lady like'.
"What a load of crap." She whispered to herself as she walked off the field and into the parking lot, "I will show her lady like when my fist meets her face. Atleast she will be able to wear mor makeup to cover up the black eye she will have when i am through with her."
Violet smiled to herself as these thought ran through her mind. She woul have loved to do these things but she knew if she did she would end up in some boot camp, or Juvenile Hall and that was all she needed to go on her college applications. She steeped through the gate to the diamond and into the parking lot. She looked around slowy and then sighed while going to sit on a curb to wait. As she sat down Violet reached into her bag that was full of ehr baseball equipment and grabbed a pack of gum. She pulled a piece out and popped it in her mouth before looking at her watch to check the time.
Late again, She thought to herself, Probably off at some bar getting drunk as always. I will give him 20 minutes tops before I start walking home. Even if he does get here on time I won't let him drive anyway. Not while I am in the car.
Violet reached back in her bag and grabbed the book she had brought along. She always made sure she had one just incase something like this happened. Remebering that this was a new book she turned it over and looked at the cover. She didn't have time this morning to lok and see what book she grabbed so she had no clue.
InkHeart was the title. She rubbed her hand over the rosy red cover and slowly moved it down to the bottom where it showed the page of a book being burned. She thought it looked pretty interesting so she flipped it open and let herself become lost in the book.

Violet looked up at the sound of a vehicle approaching slowly. Her mind was still fuzzy, not all the way recovered from her enraptured reading. She was surprised at how much time had gone by. It was nearly evening- the light had already begun to fade. Never had a book so completely held her before that she didnt even notice when her butt started to go numb from the hard curb.
The truck pulled up next to her and stopped, brakes squeaking noisily. Violet stood up, wincing as her cold and crampy legs stretched. The driver's side window rolled down and a familiar face grinned out at her. His eyes were unfocused and he lolled against the door, as if unable to support himself.
Shaking her head in disgust, Violet picked up her things and walked away without a word. She ignored the drunken, slightly disgruntled yells issueing from the man behind her.
"Hey! Where you goin'? Hey! I'm talkin' to you!"
She stared straight ahead, lips pursed, and kept walking. Violet heard the truck shift to drive, and the engine rev. She turned in time to see twin lights closing in on her, and a roaring truck behind them.

As the stranger begin to follow her, she quickly began speed up her pace. The driver whos now a few feet from her side. "Hey there want a ride?" he said in a sort of grumble, indicating that he was drunk. "No thanks" she replied, thinking he was crazy that she would ride with a beer-breath like him. Walking faster now, her heart began to beat harder wondering what he was going to do. He kept on being on her speed, so she began walking a little faster. "Hey, what's the hurry?" he shouted in a rather rough tone, making Violet think he said, "Ey, wha he pure?". She shouted, "What the heck?! Learn English old fool!" and she began running, bag and all, as fast as she could away from him. This often happens between them as one will if not really know who one is living with. It's like two total strangers living under the same roof. The response she gave made him frustrated, so he as one might also do, scream back a harsh response. (will not be written use your imagination) Violet was shocked and was really angry. What she did next was something so indescribable even I have a hard time doing it so, let's just skip that part. After that little incident that happened between them, Violet was really not in a good mood when she got home. She had a fight with her mom for saying such a thing to the man. "I want you to apologize to him, young lady." "Uh huh, sure Mom." "Don't you DARE give that tone to me, I mean it, go there right now and say you're sorry." "And make me get the blame for all of it??" "Well, it WAS your fault" "Oh no no no, it was your freaking BOYFRIEND's fault, he was late for picking me up. Instead of doing that, he was out drinking like a pig." "Excuse me???" "You're excused." She slaps Violet across the face for talking like that to her, I mean come on who wouldn't?. "What the hell?" "Don't you dare use that language on me, Violet Ann Thompson." "Fine." "Now, go." "Whatever." Violet went back to her room and locked the door behind her. Making sure it was secure, she blasted her radio that she was sure would make her mom piss off, after she told her not to put the volume so high she could hear from downstairs and not to play that kind of music of hers at all since it's not appropriate for young ladies. She logged on her computer and began chatting with her friend, who luckily is online, Marcy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ stargirl- hi'z mars bars let me guess you got in a fight with ur mom again-mars_bars stargirl- oh how'd u know? Violet screamed in frustration as she herad her mom pounding on her door so she turned her Radio up even louder and ignored the banging. When she realized it wouldn't stop she jammed the off button on her stereo, stopping the music, and threw open her door.
"Look," She started,"I am not going to apologize to some drunken a** just because you want me to. I will say what ever the hell I want to who ever the hell I want and you can't do anything about it. If you want someone to apoligize to that b*****d then you can go apologize youself but I am not putting myself in danger just so I can be 'lady like' for you."
Violet slammed the door in her mothers face and locked it without waiting for a reply. She then hustled over to her closet and began tearing clothes from their hangars and throwing them into her bookbag. Once it was full she quietly slid open her window and climbed through as her mother started to bang on the door again.
Once Violet was outside she slung her bag over her shoulders and headed off to her boyfriends house.

Jason jumped up from the couch and ran over to the door when he heard someone knocking. Before opening it however he looked at a nearby mirror on the wall and made sure his hair looked good. When he was satisified with his appearance he opened the door and leaned against the frame in cool way when he realized it was Jennifer.
"Hey sexy." He said, "It's about time. You had me waiting so long."
Jennifer walked through the doorway coming very close to touching bodies with Jason. Once inside she grabbed him by the color and slammed the door behind them before throwing him down on the couch and staring into his eyes with lust.
"That troubled little girlfriend of yours won't be coming over tonight now will she?" Jenny asked.
"Not that I know of." Came the reply, "Though I have to admit the threesome would be very interesting."
"Hmm. Maybe so but tonight I want you all to myself. We can share some other time." At this Jennifer grabbed the back of Jason's head and pulled him into a passionate kiss as she began to unbutton his blue striped, colored shirt.

Violet made a turn on Wilsonn lane which was where her bofriends house was and headed for the very end of the street. As she approached his house she tried to make her self look better so that he didn't notice she had been through alot tonight. Once Violet felt that she looked in a good mood she walked up the driveway to the last house on the street and pulled out the key she had been given to the house. She slid the key into the key hole silently since she felt like surprising him and then turned it until she herad the quiet click of the door unlocking. She then reached out her hand and turned the knob, pushing the door open and walking inside. Without taking in her surrondings she closed the door behind her and threw her stuff down. As she did this she saw movement out of the corner of her eye and whirred around to find one of her best friends, Jennifer, making out with her boyfriend.
"J....Jason." She let out in a small, hurt, barely audible voice."

As tears slowly falling down from her cheeks, Jennifer turned around thinking she heard something, "Violet!", she quickly jumped off Jason and tried to get the words out of her mouth but Violet stopped her.
"Don't.", she warned her.
"I've been through enough, I'll just go." she said as she grabbed her stuff and turned around to leave.
"Wait. V, please." Jason got up from the couch, grabbed his shirt and quickly put it on.
"Let me explain", he started off but Violet stopped him.
"Jason, as I said, I've been through enough, I just wanted to drop by and see my boyfriend to see if he can be there for me so I came by and not only to see my best friend here on top of my boyfriend, nonetheless, but also realizing what a fool I was to forget to knock first. I'm sorry for interrupting anything, please continue while I go and find somewhere to cry." she wanted to say more and something harsh but the pain was too much for her to continue and stay there any longer. She left immediately in search of somewhere peaceful.

Crying silently to herself at park where fond memories happened.
Why me? Why now? Why her? Oh why oh why! she thought and began crying even harder again.
The sound of a branch breaking made her head jerked.

Violet looked as hard as she cood through the bushes but couldn't see a thing through the darkness of the night.
"Who is there?" She asked, "Look I wouldn't attack me if I were you I am in a really pissy mood and I will not hesitate to kill you."
She sawt he bushes rustle again and then stood up getting in a position to fight until a familiar girl popped out of the bushes.
"Alice, it's just you." She said.
"Yep. Just me. I didn't want to come out at first. Thought I would be dead before I even had a chance to tell you it was me. So what is going on?"
Violet chuckled to ehrself silently in an annoyed way.
"Oh not too much. Just the usual. My moms an a**. My boyfriend cheated on me with my best friend and now I am sitting here in the park feeling that my blatter is way to close to my eyes. You?"
Alic walked quickly over to Violet and pulled her into a hug.
"Vie I am so sorry. I had no idea you were going through so much. I swear if I were there I would have kicked both Jason's and Jenny's asses for you. You do not deserve this."
"No it's ok Alice." Violet replied, "I should have listened to you. You told me all along that Jason couldn't be trusted and I just ignored you. I am sorry. I should have listened."
Violet pulled away from alice and wiped the tears off of her face, "Do you mind if I crash at your place tonight?"

"No, not at all. What's mine's yours with a few exceptions." Alice winked and Violet laughed at that.
For once, my life's actually alright. For now.
Alice offered to carry Violet's stuff even though she knows she'll reject the offer. They walk hands on each other's shoulders back to the car.
"So, what brought you here at this time?" Violet asked as Alice opened the doors.
"Oh, I was just you know in the neighborhood and thought why not go to the park?" Alice replied in a not so convincing tone.
"Ah, come on, Ally. You know you can tell me."
"Ha-ha, I knew that wouldn't convinced you."
"So?"
"Um, well..."
Silence.
"Alice...?"
"I.. I mean.. well.." Alice stammered, trying to find the right words to explain what she was doing there.
"Alice, I won't let you tell me unless you want to, but I really would want to know."
Alice thought, I do want to tell you but I just can't I don't think I can, I'm sorry Violet.

Truth is Alice was there with her youth group and they were having an Afterglow after church. They were doing some rehearsals and stuff for their upcoming event. They needed to do somewhere big enough for the 32 kids and the teachers. She knew if she started telling her about church or anything about religion, Violet will go crazy. She has tried numerous of times to get her to go to church but she keeps saying that there is no such thing as God. That hurt her a lot but she knows God put Violet in her life for a reason. So, she has been trying to convince her to go to church but she saw that right now is not a good time. They were driving through town when she saw a sign, "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? RIGHT NOW'S THE BEST TIME TO DO IT, to get your very own HONDA, she knew that was a sign from God that this was the time to do it not to get a Honda. She quickly made a turn to the right heading towards her church.
"Hey, where are you going?"
"I just need to make a quick pit stop if you don't mind"
"Oh ok, not at all."
She stopped and told Violet she'll be in there for a while and wouldn't mind if she came in with her for a quick minute. Violet hesitated then jumped off the car and went inside with her.
"Alice, what are we doing here?"
"I needed to ask something"
"Well, can't you ask you mom or your dad, I mean they're both at home and not here" The church hall was making her feel uncomfortable like she was dirty and unclean compared to some of the people who were still in there praying.
"Oh, I know but I think they'll understand if I wanted to ask God for this one."
"Oh."
Alice went to the front pew and bowed her head while Violet nervously sat next to her.
Two minutes went by without any movement from Alice except for her soft breathing.

Dear God,
Its me again and Ive brought Violet here with me. Lord, please tell me what to do, please give me Your Holy Spirit's guidance to guide Volet to the right direction You want me to give her, Lord. And I pray that you'll just help her in her troubles and needs, Lord. Lord, I pray that you'll just help my dear Violet, Lord. I don't want her to go there Lord. I dont want her to go there, its just too painful to think Lord. I pray that you'll give Violet the strength and the patience she needs with her mom and with everyone else around her Lord. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Just as she finished praying, tears began to fall.
I did so many wrong things, I'm not sure what to do. I can't, I can't
As she thought of that she began crying even harder.
"Alice, Alice what's wrong girl? What happened?" a concerned Violet asked her now crying and running friend.
She headed to the bathroom as fast as she could to not disturb the now worried faces of the others. Violet came running after her. When Violet reached the bathroom, Alice was already in a stall crying her heart out.
"Come on Alice, what's wrong?"
"Nothing it's just that..." trying to get the words out between her tears.
Violet leaned on the stall's door next to hers.
"Alice, I'm worried and I just want to know what's wrong."
"I DONT WANT TO SEE YOU GO TO HELL!" she screamed and shocked Violet because she has never raised her voice ever before to her.
"Hun, I'm not going to go to hell, there's not such thing."
"That's also why I just I just can't take it anymore."
"I know what you mean"
The stall door opened and Violet held out her arms for a hug, Alice immediately hugged her.

Violet felt extremely awkward, hugging her friend who was literally crying her heart out because she was afraid for her. Not only that, but Violet did not really understand or believe what Alice was crying over. She just hugged her sobbing friend and tried to comfort her. After the flow of tears finally slackened, Alice backed away and wiped her face.
"Alice..." Violet began, but she really didnt know what she was about to say. Was she going to offer to at least look into this whole religion thing? If it would make Alice feel better, she was almost willing to do it. But did she really want to compromise who she was and what she was? Violet didn't think so, and she didnt want to make any false promises. "I don't know what to say." she said, finally.
Alice looked over at Violet in the mirror as she splashed cold water on her face. "I hope you'd at listen to what I have to say."
"But I do listen," Violet protested. "You talk about God and all that all the time!"
"But you dont really listen." Alice turned to her friend. "You hear, but you dont listen. Just, for once, really try to understand who God is. After you know who He really is, and you decided to go your own way, I'll leave you alone." Alice looked Violet full in the eyes. "It's really important to me that you do."
Violet looked at her friend for a moment, saw the sincerity. "Okay." she said.

Oh God, please I pray that this will be the right time Alice looked hard and stern in Violet's eyes.
"Are you willing to listen and understand and well, just apply this information I'm going to give you? Like REALLY listen and understand?" She gave her a really too much of a forced statement making Violet doubt for a sec but later decided if this is going to make her feel better, she'll do it after all, why make her one and only true best friend worry about her?
"I will, for you I will." She said finally.
Alice was so happy she looked like she was floating on air.
"Ok, ok girl chill!" Violet and Alice both laughed arm on each other's shoulders happily back to the car.
"Ok, how bout telling me this "information" now?"
"Um, let's find somewhere we can talk privately and well so it'll be special"
"Um... Ok..." Violet giggled at the little secret that reminded her once of what they used to do when they were little.
Alice brought the car to a quiet little garden away from the city and into the peaceful country.
A sudden silence went over them and they were heading towards a lighted little gazebo.
"Wow, its so... cute!"
"Ha-ha, cute? Well, sure whatever you want it to be called I think it's magical.."
"Yea you and your little fantasy world ha-ha"
"Hey! They're nice, I like them.."
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt the little princess' feelings"
"Grr... Ha-ha"
"Ok, where we gonna start?"
"Hold on a sec, gotta get my Bible out"
