I gotta agree with Saphire. We, as Americans, don't even obey our pledge of allegiance.
I Pledge allegiance to the flag, Of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, One nation, Under God, Indivisible with liberty and Justice for ALL
Sorry Governers, but that includes Gays and Lesbians as well. And I also don't get this... Why do we discuss GAY marriage, not SAME SEX marriage. It just boggles my mind that our government makes this pledge and they don't even follow it. -shakes head- FYI: I am not gay or bi... just saying.

I for one think that it should be alllowed. If you truly love someone, you should be ab;e to spend the rest of your life with them, no matter what sex they are. This whole government is being a douche and saying that its wrong. Well, they can just kiss my.....wait! im not going to retaliate here.
I kno the bible says it's morally wrong, but how could love itself be wrong? Does it not clearly state, "Love thy neighbor as thyself?" If thats the case, then love everyone. I know what you're thinking, "It's not that kind of love." Granted, it does mean the respect love ad not the love love, but if someone is willing to burn in Hell for their love, who are we to judge them on that matter of the heart?

I am Catholic and i really believe that gay marriage is okay. True, there are a lo of people who say that gay marriage is immoral blah, blah, blah. But if two people truly loved each other who are we to keep them from being together?

Umm, what do heterosexuals even think is gonna happen? There'll be more gays or something? What the hell, people are gay regardless of whether or not people accept it, personally I don't see how them getting married would affect us in any way. It's none of our business. We should just leave them alone and treat them like normal people. I have a friend who's bi, and he's a really cool guy who's fun to be around. I don't discriminate, because just like straight people don't like everyone of the opposite sex, gay or bi people don't like everyone they see. it's not like they'll try to rape you or something, what the hell. Making gay marriage legal would just mean people are publicly accepting them more, and would probably make the world a more positive place.

Eliminate marriage as a legal institution. If hetero and homo couples both had civil unions, they would be equal legally. That's what the pro-gay marriage people want, right? If marriage is merely a religious institution, then the churches could decide if they'd marry gay people or not. That's what the anti-gay marriage people want, right?
By the way, I'm a homosexual female.

Well the description of marriage is a bond between a male and female so there is no such thing as 'gay marriage'. but don't get me wrong I have no problem with being gay, people are entitled to be whatever they want to, I have no right to stop anyone

kuntrykid LittleDarkWarrior16 Yeah where do you stand? I am so tired of people discriminating against them. I am not a lesbian or bi but I just stand for equality. I also think it's bs that guys are like "Oh hot lesbians are ok but fags are dumb," sorry if you arent down with the language but seriously who gives a flying damn they are people let them get married it wont devalue a thing they are people who love eachother get over it and people that say that they will cheat more than heterosexuals are stupid it happens in all relationships it shouldnt but it does and also people who say they intentially spread disease (yes people say that) thats dumb you cant even do a study on that no one will admit to that it happens on accident but no one would do that there thats my view whats yours If the whole world went homosexual humans would die out. I know that's not in danger of happening but, if it wasn't meant for the whole world then why would it be meant for a portion of it? that is a very close-minded statement, thats like saying if the whole world isn't Christian then a portion of it shouldn't be seriously I'm not being sarcastic

That's like saying if we allowed interracial relationships (if they were to be banned in the first place) all children will be born black with the next coming generation.
