I dunno. They had something on the order of 64 Robot Masters to choose from (8 games with 8 RMs each), and they only used about a dozen of them, maybe a little more. Most of the bosses in the EXE series were design contest winners. Alright, I suppose using AstroMan would've been stupid ('cause he just is), but why didn't they bring in CentaurMan? Or GeminiMan? GeminiMan would've been awsome. I'm glad they used a Gemini charater in Star Force, although that was because Gemini is a constellation, not because they had GeminiMan from the original series.

I think that when they created CrashMan, they had run out of ideas and said "I know! Let's slightly-sort-of-not-really redesign BurnerMan!" Seriously, they're so very similar that one could say BurnerMan just got his name changed.

Well, if EXE7 actually gets finished, then we'll be seeing DynamoMan, CrashMan, WaveMan, and GeminiMan return. When I fought AstroMan in MegaMan and Bass, I thought he was rather broken for such an early boss. It was damn near impossible to dodge his attacks. Same with BurnerMan. Wait, there's a ClownMan? Huh. I just found a list of Robot Masters on Wikipedia, and it says that SwordMan has an EXE counterpart. Probably in Network Transmission or Battle Network 4.5 'cause I've never seen him.

I can confirm the sword man in NT, Clown man was in Mega man 8, one of the first bosses. His weakness is Tengu man's weapon.

That explains why I didn't recognize him. I've seen him in the anime, but they changed the characters' appearance so radically that I didn't recognize him when I saw the original sprite. I happen to think the original looked better.
