wow. i know girls who do that too. first of all, it's supposed to be really bad for your hair. and second of all...don't you value your sleep a little more?
i had a straightener once, but i was too afraid to use it. then it broke.
i think it's pretty funny to see girls with superstraight hair in the locker room before picture day anxiously fighting over the straightener so that they can make sure their hair is as straight as humanly possible.

I use a straightener, but only lightly so that I can tame my mad wavy hair.

Super Radical Alot of women wear make-up, but is it bad for your own mental image of yourself? Using make-up (atleast to me) seems like its a visual way of saying "Well I didn't think I was pretty before, so I bought all this powder and paint to make my face look more attractive to everyone else." So many of my friends use alot of make-up. Foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner, lipstick, lipgloss, blush, mascara, ect. There are so many different ways to completely change the way we look. I do use a little make-up but only eyeliner and mascara because I love my eyes.
Personnally I think that all women are beautiful already smile And shouldn't have to paint our faces just to look more attractive to men. Natural beauty is the best kind anyway. Its yet another way to stand out. You can do so much with make up these days. Some people use it just in the same way everyone else does ( you'll know what I mean if you go into any high school ) , but some use it as self expression. I love seeing someone walking in the mall or down the street with 'crazy' make up. Something different. Sure everyone is beautiful but really it would get boring if everyone just went around naked without make up or anything creative.

I just wear a bit of lip stuff and eyeliner, occasionally eyeshadow and blush.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing make-up. I just don't bother. I don't consider lipgloss make-up, and that's all I wear most of the time. Sometimes I'll smudge some mascara or black eyeliner/eyeshadow on when I'm feeling, dare I say, 'grungy'. I never have the time in the morning to worry about my face, so I just go the way I am. I don't think I'm pretty, but I think I look better without stuff like cover-up on.
