So one of my songs has a tril in it, and I have no idea how to play it. I've heard a tril before but I've been trying for days and days and days now and I'm not getting any closer. Any hints tips or suggestions?

It is Key of F
The little note or w/e starts on the D and goes down one note to the C.

: That's an odd one, I think I've ever had to do that trill before. Have you tried consulting a trill chart?

that's weird...as far as i know, trills are supposed to go up one half step...
D to C sounds pretty impossible to me...you sure there aren't any sharps or flats involved?

I must be reading this wrong... Or it isn't a trill? I'll scan it tomorrow and post it here.

What octave is it in?
If its the one above the staff, you use the C fingering and press the first trill key (the small key that's between the pointer and middle finger on your right hand). Or it might be the second trill key... I don't really remember, but there isn't a big difference in the sound so it doesn't really matter anyways.
I don't know if it works on the C that's placed on the third space, but you can try.

Are you sure it's not a grace note?

catzeye21138 It is Key of F The little note or w/e starts on the D and goes down one note to the C. is it a tremolo kinda thing? like 2 notes w/ lines drawn between them to indicate trill? cause all trills marked as "tr~~~" all go up... you could play the D and then the C using either the first or second trill key depending on octave 3nodding
