I always thought and pronounced it as ez-may with short e but long A but it could be a number of different ways!

Its phonetic, so its pronounced exactly like its spelled. Es-me

I think it's supposed to be pronounced Ez-mee, but I say it like Ez-may.
Both are actual names, so it's either-or.
Unlike Carlisle (Car-lyle) and Car-lizzle, or even Car-Leez-lay.
Only one is an actual name, so the others are wrong.
Although, I think that if it were supposed to be pronounced Ez-May Stephenie would put an accent over it, like she does with Renée.
So Ez-may= Esmé and Ez-mee= Esme.
I just say it Ez-may because I like it better.

I heard it was in between Ez-May and Ez-Mee. I have always pronounced it Ez-may

Everybody associated with the twilight movie pronounces it "Ez-may" and I pronounce it like that too...
