I was surfing for GW images, and somehow came across this...It's interesting and fairly well written, if incomplete and in need of an editor. I enjoyed reading through it, even though the author didn't offer much hope for my favorite pairings sweatdrop . Just thought I'd share. Gundam Wing is a Victim of Fan Rape

To be honest, I thought it was extremely well-written and insightful. This site is the reason I am the Gundam Wing fan I am today, and I'm honestly sad that the author stopped partway through.
A couple of years ago, I used to just link to this site when people started trashing Wing without really understanding it. People actually asked if I wrote the darn thing, and I had to say that I only wished I had. XD

Wow that Essay was awesome its been a whiled since i last read it biggrin

I read them all (well, all the individuals and a few of the couples), and I thought they were very well thought-out and -written. Some of them showed me stuff I 'd never thought about before (i.e. Duo's group mentality). I really enjoyed them. 3nodding

I've used it quite a bit (mostly in defense of Relena, actually sweatdrop ). I wish more fans would take their fandoms this seriously, since I love tearing a series apart and examining it from every angle. Not to mention, the psychology of the really messed up characters facinates me xd . No wonder Duo and Wufei are my favorites. I just wish she'd finished it...

I've been coming across A LOT of sites lately where the owner has left the fandom but is keeping their pages up (or not, the jerks...) for other fans, and it's not just happening on GW sites. It makes me sad to see all these people go crying

Actually, Wing is only 10 years old; the show aired in 1995 and Endless Waltz came out a couple of years later.
But yeah, it is rather sad that so many sites are dying because their creators lost interest.
