Update:
Humanities rocked.
I've never felt so at home, except in the Social and Behavioral Sciences.
The class is based on sharing opinions on art, literature, music and so on.
I'm really going to like it, I think.
Sociology was very interesting.
You get quite a different opinion from a teacher that was born in Iraq and has the opposite political view than you have.
I think it will be enlightening, honestly.
I'll see things from a different perspective and get to talk about the human experience.
I can't wait for Psychology next semester!
Biology wasn't bad, the teacher made me laugh.
He said to us all, in a very serious tone,
"Everyone, your first assignment is to write in the margin of your notes the answer to this question: Why am I here today?"
Being a natural smartass, I asked if he meant today specifically or why we were in the class.
He answered that it should be the answer to both.
I wrote that I needed a science and that I may become a doctor later, so I took Bio.
He read the answers and looked back at all of us and said,
"Good answers, and probably true too. Wrong, however. You are here because your parents had sex."
Surprised me.
He's really funny.
He studies rodents at the Grand Canyon.
He has written books about them.
Overall I am liking school.
I'm going to visit home too, for Labor Day.
This year won't be so bad.
