Has anyone else watched this series, staring John Simm, best known to Doctor Who fans as The Master? I think I like him a lot more when he's playing a generally good guy like Sam Tyler. (The crossover possibilities...) It also deals with time travel, though it's in a much different way, but Doctor Who is mentioned in one episode!

I loved it. Thought it was very entertaining and thought provoking.

I haven't seen it. What's the angle on time travel, then? And... does it have Ice Warriors?

No ice warriors that I know of, Harry Priest, sorry. xd

Sam is a detective chief inspector from the year 2006, and he believes in doing everything by the book -no gut feelings or hunches allowed- but then he's hit by a car. When he wakes up the year is 1973, and he has to learn how to do police work in a world without modern technology or the concept of political correctness, all the while trying to figure out if the whole thing happening in his mind. He believes he is in a coma in 2006 because every once in a while he will hear the sounds of a hospital, such as a heart monitor beeping. People also talk to him through TVs and radios. ^_^

Spoilers about the confusing ending: When I first watched the ending it really bothered me! I guess, the idea of it was good, but I thought the episode itself seemed really crammed. I would have liked it if they had showed him more in 2006 before deciding to take the big leap. Also, what was Frank Morgan going on about in the graveyard? Too many questions were raised and left unanswered! I know they're making a sequel, so they were probably doing some set up for that, but I'm not that interested in it since Sam (Simm) won't be in it. cry

I'm from the US so I watched it at http://www.stage6.com
