If you have a dispute in one of the battles, come here to have them resolved as to not fill up the other threads with the discussion. It is here where proctors and sometimes non official will place in their word, with the proctors having the final say.

Report card on first match between Teams: One and Four.
Ren Vs Enasun

Inuzuka Kizu

//__I :Strengths
- Name: Ren (Sila-Sama)

Has shown a good ability to describe accurately each move she performs, Not missing out much at all when it comes to movements and actions of her ninja. Also uses the summary at the end of each post, making it easier to understand for her opponent and viewers of the fight. Analyzes opponents moves well and counters accordingly, Good use of the environment surrounding her and taking note of what moves will effect it. Clever use of tools, control and logic.

SCORE:
8/10

- Name: Enasun (Whicipedia)

Good understanding of what is going on. the typing flows well and is easy to grasp for a viewer, Plays the part of a ninja well, Making his character seem believable and well balanced, Dodging and evading very well, yet still taking damage, which is highly respectable. Good use of elemental jutsu for evasion. Seems relaxed, and able to take things in a stride and assess the situation, before giving it all he's got. Also he spends time preparing attacks instead of firing loads of jutsu's per post.

SCORE: 7/10

//__II :Weakness
- Name: Ren (Sila-Sama)

Though it is hard to pinpoint too many weaknesses, One that did become apparent is lack of defensive jutsu's or styles, It seemed to be pretty aggressive. Also she was left open in a few situations and though her opponent didn't take advantage this time, someone else probably would've, which would result in devastating results.

-Name: Enasun (Whicipedia)

The balance between defensive and offensive seemed to be in check. But he perhaps leaned more towards the defensive side, And perhaps if he was more aggressive it would of ended differently, ironically his opponent was aggressive but lacked defensive skills, so it's certainly something to keep in mind. Also I would like to see some varied attacks other than Jutsu/chakra based ones, though i'll talk about that in the styles section.

//__III :Tactics
- Name: Ren (Sila-Sama)

Her ability to counter attack seemed well thought out. Taking each move in her stride and come back with a good offensive technique to cover herself, Though it may be in her style to be aggressive with her jutsu's, control over nature/flora it should be easy to keep yourself protected whilst deploying strategy against your opponent. Tactically i found her attacks to be slightly lacking, more so concentrating on power or feild coverage than actual tactical prowess, and though effective, it is nice to see a well thought out plan come together, and can also be particularly devastating for the opponent.

SCORE: 7/10

- Name: Enasun (Whicipedia)

Again, his attacks and evasions seemed rather simple, and as effective as they were, they was a few times where well deployed tactics could've saved him from being hurt/trapped/running etc. Wind is a very diverse element, and if used properly can be tactically amazing. So with his defensive/offensive and evasive techniques, With a little thought he could become a devastatingly strong ninja, all it takes is a little more thinking and a little more experience.

SCORE: 6/10

//__IV :Style
- Name: Ren (Sila-Sama)

Off the bat, the style used seemed to be very aggressive, counting on using a few powerful jutsu's to quickly render the opponent asunder, And though when things were going to plan it was a decent style to use, I found that she turned to her trump card way too quickly, and could've used a few of her other strategy and jutsu's to wear him down and ultimately defeat him. Leaving her body unprotected at the end was a very risky move, and if her opponent would've attacked it, she could've been killed, But all in all her style was consistent and it was obviously that considerable effort was put into it, Also, Her characters persona, and style seem to match well and it's a believable match.

SCORE: 7/10

- Name: Enasun (Whicipedia)

Again the style was consistent, Seemed to be rather defensive, and mostly depended on one or two moves hitting whilst he evades the others, Relying on chakra and agility to overcome his foe. Again he conserved chakra well using simple yet effective maneuveres to get out of, and defend against situations that threatened him.I like this sort of style, as i feel it is more effective than just using your ultimate jutsu's straight away. It makes the fight more fun and interesting, instead of a battle of explosions and super powers. I did feel however that more effort could've been put forth in the writing, tactics and general feel towards the match, but then his characters persona does seem rather carefree and outgoing and so i'm left unsure towards how much effort was put in, perhaps alot was put into staying in character.

SCORE: 7/10

//__V :Overall Score

-Name: Ren (Sila-Sama) : 22

-Name: Enasun (Whicipedia): 20

WINNER: Ren (Sila-Sama)

Report on the first round between Team 6 and Team 7.

Round 1: Kimchi Vs Yamata

Quote:
Strengths

Name: Kimchi
Username: Aburame_Kimchi
• Consistent and sound use of strategy.
• Effectively used his character’s abilities and surroundings
• Easily understood posts.

SCORE: 8/10

Name: Yamata
Username: [red][dragon]
• Consistent strategy
• Good sportsmanship, almost taking a fatal blow at the end of the match
• Realizes character’s limitations

SCORE: 7/10

Weakness

Name: Kimchi
• A little wasteful of chakra using the “wind blades” a second time if the original intent was to lure the opponent into his bugs

Name: Yamata
• Failed to piece together why the enemy was provoking him into chasing him.
• Posts were a little less detailed than preferred in concerns of replying/retaliating against an attack.
• Did not use his present tools in an effective course.

Tactics

Name: Kimchi
• Consistent in his offensive strategy and successfully lured the opponent into his trap
• Successfully handled the offensive motif of the opponent and took control of the battle flow.
• Sound use of the environment

SCORE: 9/10

Name: Yamata
• Consistent in offensive tactics.
• Failed to realize the trap he let himself fall into.

SCORE: 6/10

Style

Name: Kimchi
• In this skirmish, he first laid a lethal trap then disabled his opponent’s main offensive capability. After getting rid of his opponent’s offensive capabilities, he further provoked his opponent into following him, which was successful, and effective lured his opponent into a trap.
• From this skirmish, he first sets a trap, destroys any major offensive threats, then retreats to provoke the opponent into falling into the trap.
• The style was consistent, as for fitting his character I cannot deduce that

SCORE: 9/10

Name: Yamata
• In this skirmish he was mainly offensive, however was blind to the traps that the opponent left. Primarily, he was too focused on attacking and going after his opponent.
• He was consistent in his offensive charges.
• As for matching his character, a turtle; referring to his puppet, usually symbolizes defensive capabilities. However he continued to rush in offensive without considering the consequences, therefore although his style was consistent in offense, it was offset with the use of the turtle puppet.

SCORE: 7/10

Team Six vs Team Seven: Match One
Kimchi vs Yamata

This match kinda reminded me of Shino vs. Kankurou. Puppets vs. Bugs. ><

Strengths

Name: Kimchi
Username: Aburame_Kimchi
You detailed your posts very well, not only in how you explained your attacks, but also in your character's features. You convey the Aburame well. The summary at the end of your posts also helped, making it easier to understand.

SCORE: 7.5/10

Name: Yamata
Username: [red][dragon]
You had a good strategy, but you could take the offensive, as well. You explained well in condensed posts, which is hard to do, and still left a summary to further ensure that you were understood.

SCORE: 7/10

Weakness

Name: Kimchi
I really didn't understand why an Aburame would have a wind-type jutsu to start his fight out with. As much as they know basic jutsu, most of the defined clans like that follow their bloodtrait, and neutral jutsus, that don't require an element, like bunshin or substitution jutsu. If you're going to be part of a canon bloodline, we expect you to stick with the bloodline. We wouldn't expect the Nara Clan to start using Fire Style attacks, for example, now would we? We want you to be creative in your element, which you only conveyed later on. But, you do need to be careful not to godmod, you were really close to pushing it and being flagged down. Use chance by a post action to make it fair.

Name: Yamata
Ninja do carry more tools besides their weapons. In addition, the specific terrains could also give you an advantage. Look around, not all the clues are obvious. We like to see resourceful ninja.

Tactics

Name: Kimchi
You took the offensive side, and it worked well for you. Without a technique to counter yours, you performed like a true ninja, luring your opponent into your plan.

SCORE: 9.5/10

Name: Yamata
You were systematic with offensive tactics, but you were still broken down by his counterattacks. Although, some defensive tactics to break down his counterattacks might've awarded you a better score.

SCORE: 6.5/10

Style

Name: Kimchi
You did an excellent job of luring your opponent into your trap, you show that your character is a smart tactician, which every ninja should have tactical capabilities, or be lead by one. Your character shows that he has a good way of deducing plans after learning your opponent's strategy, which would be a good quality for a team leader, which is one of the main objectives of a chuunin.

SCORE: 8/10

Name: Yamata
Like Gem said, I would also think of a tortoise with defensive capabilities. Symbolism. Puppets have many different capabilities, and I think you could've come up with a few more creative ones, instead of just the basics. We're looking a lot at creativity, but I really didn't see much of it.
SCORE: 5.5/10

Team 6 vs Team 7: Match 2
Susanoo vs Alabaster Phoenix

Quote:

Strengths
Name: Susanoo
Username: Kami Hiyoko
SCORE: 7/10

• Used effective attacks from a distance
• Manipulated puppets well to adapt to the battle flow
• Effective tactics to counter the opponent’s tactics
• Provided summaries for all significant posts.

Name: Alabaster Phoenix
Username: Alabaster Phoenix
SCORE: 7/10

• Adapted and countered well to situations
• Good use of tools and equipment to attack and defend
• Effective tactics to counter the opponent’s tactics
• Provided summaries for some posts.

Weakness
Name: Susanoo

• Needs to improve using taijutsu instead of expending chakra to fight both midrange and close range.
• Although multiple puppet manipulation was impressive, it still lacked higher levels of control. Focus on controlling first maybe two puppets at a time, then possibly three.
• Self-sacrificing motion was reckless-if there had been poison involved, most likely death would’ve been inevitable.
• Using offense as a defense was, although effective in defense, stripped you of your defensive capabilities.

Name: Alabaster Phoenix

• Although the use of bunshins were effective against puppets, it was also wasteful of chakra.
• In general, became reckless with chakra and expended it almost completely wastefully.
• Evasions are good, but counters in conjunction with evasions are better. Lacked proper counters with some evasions.
• Could’ve let us know about a delay in posting and went to sleep after the battle was still going

Tactics
Name: Susanoo
• Adapted well to situations using puppets as well as his unique trait.
• Offensive mid-range style utilizing puppets was effective as well as keeping his technique hidden.
• Going close range offensive utilizing the unique character trait was also effective.
SCORE: 8/10

Name: Alabaster Phoenix

• A nice mix of offense and defense.
• Good utilization of tools and equipment for offense.
• Offensive capabilities were high but lacked in countering when evading.

SCORE: 7/10

Style
Name: Susanoo

• Very offensive
• Long-to-midrange tactics when concerning the puppets
• Self-sacrificing, although it may allow you to gain an advantage, it is very dangerous in concern with leading a team.
• Aimed to kill, and was not hesitant to do so.
• The puppets went well with your character’s theme

SCORE: 7/10

Name: Alabaster Phoenix

• A nice balance of offense to defense
• Long-close range tactics; ninjutsu, equipment, taijutsu
• Evasion however rarely counters which creates trouble later
• Aimed to kill, and was not hesitant to do so.
• Blend of weaponry along with moderate taijutsu skills go well with character and his kekkei genkai.

SCORE: 8/10

Overall Scores:
Name: Susanoo
22/30
Name: Alabaster Phoenix
22/30

WINNER: DRAW

Sorry Temari, but you’re going to have to determine the winner here-both of them had their strong points and weak points, and although unrelated, both balanced out like this IMO.

TEAM ONE VS TEAM FOUR :: MATCH 2
Fang vs. Masaki

Quote:
Strengths
- Fang (Sila-sama): I already saw your writing style, but I was even impressed by this time around. The structure of your writing was easy to understand, and summaries helped, as well. The way you explained how each move was done was plausible, and even setting your character at a disadvantage made you look even better. You had a good balance of offense and defense, and used your surroundings well. Your adaptations to situations were excellent, and counters worked efficiently.
SCORE: 8.5/10

- Masaki (Hellter Skellter): Personally, I loved your kekkei genkai. It is a bit difficult to come up with a useful, original doujutsu, but yours worked well, and you knew exactly how to use it in your surroundings. Earth manipulation was good, too, both of you were combatting in a huge rock fight. Your structure was very well-written, and you get major kudos for creativity, with the anchor.
SCORE: 8/10

Weakness
- Fang: Too much nonsense. Stalling won't get you much of anywhere, and you wasted two or three of your posts with it, trying to get Masaki to give up. Just keep fighting, man, you've got it.

- Masaki: I'd be careful with your estimated weight of the anchor, 2 tons doesn't seem quite plausible. And, a few defensive moves wouldn't hurt, either.

Tactics
- Fang: Mainly rock-type ninjutsu and taijutsu, there was a good combination of both, as well as utilizing ninja gear and your surroundings. Fighting blindfolded also gave it a bit of an entertaining edge, and "seeing" through vibrations was a neat idea.
SCORE: 7.5/10

- Masaki: Use of a doujutsu and rock-type ninjutsu worked well, and taijutsu with a weapon made good combos. Ninjutsu-wise, I would've liked to see more than just earthquakes, but your doujutsu made up most of those points.
SCORE: 7/10

Style
- Fang: Looked like a lot of effort went into your style, you really portrayed the Mantis Kung Fu style, in addition to the Avatar universe of earthbending. Your style was consistent, and easy to understand. Your style was creative, and had a basis that people could easily see. Looking at the last battle you had in the last round, I was impressed by the improvement you've acclaimed. Use of the senses was good, using more than just the average shinobi would.
SCORE: 8/10

- Masaki: To me, your style almost seemed a bit hurried, but, it seemed to fit your character. The way you used the anchor was very unique, besides the use of it as a weapon being unique in itself. Your style was consistent, and easy to comprehend. I really enjoyed watching this battle, you both gave each other a good fight.
SCORE: 8.5/10

Overall Score:

-Fang: 8.5 + 7.5 + 8 = 24

-Masaki: 8 + 7 + 8.5 = 23.5

WINNER:
FANG

Team Two Vs. Team Three : Match 1
Ulbaz vs Kitsune

Quote:
Strengths
- Kitsune (Urahara Itsumo): You worked good with offense, but since you were also combatting with an aggressive opponent, your defense could've been worked a little more. You did good with your ninjutsu (but make sure you provide a translation, please) summons, and taijutsu, but I would've liked to see more.
SCORE: 6/10

- Ulbaz (Deathgra): You did good with your puppet/poison theme, and kept consistent in your posts. The summaries at the end of your posts were also very helpful. You were detailed with evasions, and countered well.
SCORE: 7/10

Weakness
- Kitsune: Your writing style needs a bit of work, and a summary would've helped you a lot. Your posts seemed a bit hard to comprehend, and you didn't use summaries until the end of your fight. You also need to look at the reality of it, some of your counters to the attacks seemed a bit farfetched. You need more work on defense, too.

- Ulbaz: Your offensive style seemed to overpower your opponent, but you need a little more defense, too. ...actually, I really don't have much to complain about.

Tactics
- Kitsune: You used mostly offense in your attacks, and tried to counter, however, your counters didn't often prove effective. You used a good blend of ninjutsu and taijutsu, but you could've pushed your lightning attacks a little farther.
SCORE: 7/10

- Ulbaz: Use of the puppets and scythe were good, and your offensive techniques were very effective against the opponent. A good compromise of ninjutsu and taijutsu.
SCORE: 7/10

Style
- Kitsune: You really didn't explain your kekkei genkai very well, and you didn't seem very consistent with your attacks, I would've liked that in a bit more detail. I was a bit sketchy on what you were doing, but overall, it was a good try.
SCORE: 7/10

- Ulbaz: Your puppets really displayed your style well, and I could comprehend what was going on. Your techniques were creative, but still pulled in the familiar canon feel of a puppet master. Good job!
SCORE: 8/10

Overall Score:

-Kitsune: 20

-Ulbaz: 22

WINNER:
ULBAZ

Team Two Vs. Team Three : Match 2
Hideo vs. Takiko

Quote:
Strengths
- Hideo (Hideo-Kun): Your offense was good, and you stayed with your earth/rock-jutsu theme very well. I liked the balance of ninjutsu and taijutsu, and you countered well against your opponent. The summaries of your actions helped, and it was written well and comprehensive.
SCORE: 8/10

- Takiko (Takiko Matsuhina): You worked very well with your surroundings, and stayed consistent with your earth/plant-type jutsu. Balance of offense and defense was good. Summaries also added in the comprehension of your posts.
SCORE: 8/10

Weakness
- Hideo: You need to work a bit more on your defense, and a FEW of the realities of your posts had me a bit confused. You were almost wasteful with your chakra, save some of your bigger, more energy-costing attacks until you really need them.

- Takiko: Style was good, but counters need work. Put those analyzation skills to work, girlie.

Tactics
- Hideo: You used mostly offense in your attacks, and made good counters. Used basic-level jutsu to help yourself out, as well as creative unique earth jutsu. Style was quick, which moved the battle along quickly. Good compromise of ninjutsu and taijutsu.
SCORE: 8/10

- Takiko: You used the feild to your best ability. You created an effective style which was both offensive and defensive, and had an advantage in your element. Counters were slow, but you kept yourself protected.
SCORE: 7/10

Style
- Hideo: You set your character up really well, and there was a good mix in your style, you stayed consistent with your element, and had good character development.
SCORE: 7/10

- Takiko: Your character was really well set-up, too, and I could see a lot of effort was put into the creation. Your techniques were unique, and conveyed well.
SCORE: 8/10

Overall Score:

-Hideo: 23

-Takiko: 23

WINNER:

Team One Vs. Team Four
Match 2:
Fang vs. Masaki

Quote:
Strengths
- Fang: I was very impressed with you're writing style. I found it very easy to understand, and not having to refer to the summaries. You were consistent in your style of 50% attacking, and 50% defense. A well balanced character is always nice. Taking attacks when it was plausible for your character to dodge was nice also.
SCORE: 9/10

- Masaki: I found your post easy to understand, and the summaries helped when a few things were unclear. I was impressed with your technique at the beginning of the fight, a staying out of sight, and all that.
SCORE: 8/10

Weakness
- Fang: I agree with ten-ten, even though it was entertaining to read all of that talking, and it seemed to fit your character, it was was not needed. Also I believe you should have more efficiently utilized the time Masaki was underground.

-Masaki: With your anchor already weighing 2 tons I found it hard to believe it could stay airborne for such a long time.

Tactics
- Fang: You adapted easily to your opponents attacks. Counter attacking accordingly. Though pin-pointing your final maneuver, though good in using the rock as armor I found it to be a bit suicidal.
SCORE: 7/10

-Masaki : It seemed you utilized your anchor more so for counter attacking. It is a major part of your character, and used it efficiently when in bad situations.
SCORE: 7/10

Style
- Fang: I can tell you put some effort in your style You made good use of your sensing of vibrations, taijutsu, and earth ninjutsu. You remained consistent as well. Not trailing off the concept of your character. I found your entire style to fit very well with the personality of your character.
SCORE: 8/10

- Masaki: Your style was consistent ,though I would've liked to see you utilizing more defensive moves. Attacking fit better with your character. The weapon you chose for your character was very unique. It's not every day you see anchor wielding Kunoichi. The way you utilized the anchor however was more impressive, using it almost like a boomerang.
SCORE: 9/10

-Fang: 24

-Masaki: 24

TEAM FIVE VS. ACCUMULATED TEAM
MATCH 1
Kaga vs. Ryu

Quote:
Strengths
- Kaga: Your style was very original, the use and functions of you ink really completed your character, as both a personality and weapon. Although, some of your posts were a bit difficult to understand, but you made up some points with a summary at the end of your posts, and a constant meter on your chakra. You had a good balance of delivering and taking attacks, but I think that your offense/defense could've had a few more defensive techniques. But, your offensive style worked good against your opponent.
SCORE: 9/10

- Ryu: I liked your style, but reading through your posts while you were awaiting your last match, and watching some of your training with Genkai, I expected more. Your style was all over the place, and it was almost hard for me to read, the summaries were the only things that really kept me up-to-speed. Anyway, balance of offense and defense was good, and you had a bit of a balance between ninjutsu and taijutsu. Counters seemed to work well, you did good with those, and also taking/delivering attacks had a good balance.
SCORE: 7.5/10

Weakness
- Kaga: Write out your summaries a bit more, even some of those were a bit too short for me to understand. Other than that, just acquire a few defensive moves, and you'll be set.

-Ryu: By training with Genkai, I thought you were a neutral-type ninjutsu or taijutsu user, and then you appeared as a water-type ninjutsu user at the beginning of your battle, then in the middle, you performed the earth wall, not being consistent. Make sure you think your character through before you post.

Tactics
- Kaga: Your counters worked excellently, and you could keep yourself out of any bad situation Kaga was put into. Use of your ink worked well as a weapon, to be able to lead offenses and counter.
SCORE: 8/10

- Ryu: Your ability to counter worked, but it wasn't really consistent. Although, you were resourceful, and did find a way out of those situations.
SCORE: 8/10

Style
- Kaga: Use of the ink was original, and I liked the way that different colors of ink had different abilities. Although, the only ones I think I saw were red and black, and I think you could come up with a whole array for different colors. It really fits your character, as well, who's an artist. It almost reminded me of a "Sai" type of character, but you evolved it into your own character, creating a whole personality for it.
SCORE: 8.5/10

- Ryu: All of these seemed to be techniques I've seen before, different water-jutsu, and earth-jutsu. You don't have to stay all canon, you can come up with your own jutsu, we like seeing creativity. Although, I think the only one I hadn't seen was some of your taijutsu, which you used well. Your character had a strong personality, but, in truth, I did expect more. It was a good try, you were put up against a very experienced character, as well, and made an excellent effort.
SCORE: 8/10

Overall Score:

-Kaga: 9+8+8.5= 25.5

-Name: 7.5+8+8= 23.5

WINNER:
KAGA
PostPosted: Thu Sep 27, 2007 4:45 pm

Hmm...I'd like to post my grading for the fight between Kaga and Kimchi, but, it seemed a bit too short to think a lot about. Do you want me to just give my grade based on what was there, or should they finish up the fight?
