Hyde Moon sighed softly, his pale hand raising to swipe across his slightly damp brow. Why oh why had he chosen such a day to go out hunting for healing herbs?? He didn't know but he was glad of the shade the dense trees gave, it was dark inside the forest here, wildlife alive around the slender Elf as he bent down and started rifling through fallen leaves, trying to find a particular type of moss.

Hyde was still learning really, he was towards the end of his learning status. But it got more difficult and the Goblin King was ever so strict with such things. So much so that the dark ruby-haired elf sometimes felt himself dreading lessons. Oh well, he hummed softly as he found what he was looking for, crouching down at the base of a monstorous tree. And again he was surprised no Faun or Fairies had protested upon his disturbance.

"it is not wise, to steal from the forest" came a raspy, withering voice. Hyde stood and spun, staring into the large black hole in the trunk of the tree, hooved feet stepped out and the towering form of a faun came into view, he had great curling horns decorating his angular head and he looked non-too-pleased to see Hyde.

"it is borrowing, not stealing" Hyde answered, gently placing the moss in the bag around his waist, eyes raised to the Faun's. He stood a good three heads taller than Hyde and it was intimidating. The Faun frowned and took a withering stepforward. "it is stealing, you did not ask the forest for it!!"

"I am not about to talk to trees for such matters!! it is to help others" Hyde answered, and before the Faun could take a swipe at him like he looked like he would, he darted and ran, deeper and deeper into the forest. Fighting snaring branches as the trees grouped together and the place darkened and grew colder as the light grew less. He stopped when he felt his legs protest painfully at the running and looked around, suddenly realising he was hopelessly lost.

Feroz Kayorlin was feeling slightly lost himself, ironicly at that particular moment, rubbing his eyes and trying to pick up some trace of the drow he'd come out here with, but there wasn't so much as a recognizable sign of the assassin. He was new to the surface, and had little more understanding of most of his surroundings than if he were blind and had just been given sight, which made trying to track someone who had been trained to give even another drow the slip, damned difficult.
The sound movement had caught his attention breifly, but now he was having trouble tracking it. For his eyes, accustomed to pitch blackness, even dim light made it next to impossible to focus quite correctly, and nervously, he unwrapped one of his chains.
Illiam insulted his choise of weapon often enough, and accused them of being 'noisy' and 'awkward'. He'd chosen them because they were the most difficult to learn to wield, but the most rewarding. The only way to completely deprive him of a weapon, with chain as his weapon of choise, was to tie his hands directly TO something. Or that was how he felt about the matter anyway

Hyde's breathing had picked up in his mild panic, he did not know locating spells and without facing the direction he wanted to go, he couldn't use instant travel, which failed in his opinion. Most of the non healing magic he knew always had a loophole and it bugged him immensely. But now wasn't the time for that, the 22 year old elf spun around, trying to see through the almost black that encased him, coldly clamming up his lungs. He could have almost felt like he was facing an Oni, with their feeling of being everywhere and the icy temperatures that accompanied them.

"hello??" he asked timidly, hearing something move. He spun to face the direction it was in, feeling his panic grow inside him. He wanted to go home, he wanted to be back with Jareth and would rather be scolded that be here. He brushed back his shoulder length hair so his vision wasn't impaired any and stayed still, breathing heavily with his bare arms wrapped around him. "h-hello??" he called louder, not being the brightest elf in the world. Not realising whatever was out there might want him better dead.

Why was it so quiet here?? when the other parts of the forest were practically teeming with life. He shivered and he didn't know what from. Was it the Faun?? or a killer tree?? or something that would happily strangle him and eat him?? Eyes the size of dinner plates he kept a watch out, though he could barely see beyound fuzzy shapes. Scaring himself more.

He turned toward the sound, ears almost literally perked. What the hell was that thing? He knew a few spells, maybe he should cast one for translation? He had no idea if he was hearing a threat or a greeting but....
ELF?? He went board stiff, yanking the chain taught between two hands. The light elf looked nervous...looked alone... but these surface creatures were supposed to be vile, deceitful. The reason the drow needed to be wary and strong.
What he totaly failed to take into account, however, was the neat and clear visibility of two bright points of light from his wide eyes in the gloom.

Hyde spun around when he heard another sound after such a prolonged stretch of silence, he almost died from relief when it was merely a black bird perched on a high tree branch, staring down at him with yellow eyes. Not an Oni, good....Hyde's shoulders slumped and he evened his breathing before he heard slightly muffled footsteps behind him and he froze, suddenly extremely scared.

"h-hello??" he asked again, nervously turning slowly on the spot, multitonalled eyes widening in fear as he saw a blurred outline of something moving towards him and then the points of light. Something was here to kill him or maim him or even eat him!! He trembled and them felt himself start to fall and fade away, the forest leaving his senses as he hit the leafy ground. He had fainted.

It......fainted? He hadn't previously been aware that anything as drippingly evil as a surface elf COULD faint. Maybe it was just toying with him? He inched closer, the delicate chain in his hands still drawn tight as he crept forward in incriments. Like most drow he was not without spells... though like most he also didn't know quite the extent of the damage the sun would have, eventually, on his magic -or- most of his enchanted items.
He crept forward another few inches and reached forward to nudge the prostrate form with the toe of his boot, tense and ready to spring back.

Hyde felt blissfully unaware inside, he wasn't aware that he had fainted and he wasn't aware something was inching towards him. He simply lay on the drying leaves on the ground eyes closed and limp, breathing shallowly in his knocked out state, showing his body was at the barest of maintenance modes.

When the boot nudged him he shifted a little and frowned, not liking being woken from his unawareness. He cracked an eye open blearily looking around, bewildered before he looked up at the dark form standing over him and gave a strangled gasp, trembling again as he felt himself slip away again, fear wasn't good for him, no, Hyde wasn't good with fear and that was verified as he yet again fell into unconciousness.
