Hoshi-Yuki The Fallen Belial This is one of those moments where you wish Nightmare was well known. Then this guild would be moving faster or something. I highly doubt that. For one, the guild is not up to date with their info, thus people go off to find the info somewhere else. Most of the American/European fans find their way to lj or some (other)forum. On top of that, Nightmare is well know in Japan for a few years already, and now, with Deathnote, they gain so much more attention here in the 'West'. Half of my friends watches the series and likes the intro and ending. However, there are very little Japanese Nightmare fans here on gaia (as far as I can tell, at least) and some people just don't think of finding a guild to talk about the band they like. Especially when it's an (if only slightly) outdated guild. With fairly little actual info. And not that much advertisement... I could say adding translated lyrics, interviews and articles could help, but then you need a source for the raws and someone to translate. Which could prove to be very hard... My two cents. You make a valid point, my dear. But now that, according to Grammy.com, Nightmare along with several other bands are begining to expand into America for more touring and possible record lables -I skimmed the news since I can't stand reading news off a site-, what do you think the out come will be? Personally I'm more than a little shocked, and I wouldn't mind buying more Nightmare CDs from stores instead of ebay. And I'd love to go to a concert now and than. It's a bold move in my eyes, but not one I didn't like. We all know Dir en Grey has always planed, and now they have, toured in America, but it's really nice to see these other bands getting this chance. Bands that aren't invited to America to play at random cons and so forth and so on.

Bands that aren't invited to America to play at random cons and so forth and so on. To complete my point on the guild, it will not expand when it cannot best the "alternatives". And even if it can, it will not grow without proper advertisement. Anyway... It indeed seems Nightmare is expanding to the "West" (only a matter of time since half a year ago, a German record label already released Anima). However, I don't know how happy I am with that. Of course I'd like to go to a concert of theirs without having to pay a 1000 Euro airplane ticket (not to mention other expences) Of course I'd like to buy an album in a shop (though I can't even get Rammstein, let alone Japanese rock in our shops) And yes, I like the thought of them getting better sales, thus continueing to exist. However, the nice little "limited" disc albums won't be printed here. That is "Japan only", as far as I know. How will they work it out with their fanclub? It is based in Japan, all 'free' stuff/folders is Japanese (hire someone with proper English skills seems to be a bother, since they still do all in Japanese, eventhough they know they have overseas fans). On top of that, their fanclub lives will surely suffer. Furthermore, for me, Nightmare has a link to Japan. Soon, it will be a link to "the rest of the world", and somehow I don't like that thought. I want Nightmare to remain Japanese, not being influenced (too much) by the "West". If that happens, Nightmare will die. They will become one of the masses and lose that special little thing that makes them Nightmare. I don't know if it's just me, but when I listen to their music, their older stuff seems to hold far more energy than their newer stuff. I can even say that I find Alumina "mellow" (I like it, but I like the older work better) Perhaps they will have great sales, perhaps they will be thrown on the heap "imported rock". Only time can tell. I won't worry about it.

I have no plans to go to Japan anytime soon. I'd love for them to tour in different countries, just not really take in the influence, like you said.

And I have returned. The new album is great, so no worrying about that from me. Dunno if they will tour the World, but I have heard they are releasing -another- single to be an Anime Opening. It's on their official site.
Wow >.<
They're so busy. I hope they won't neglect Sendai Kamotsu sweatdrop

Umm because this is the randomness thread. I just decided to post this link up. It talks about how you can join the fan club while being an overseas fan. nightmare_blogs-LiveJournal If you can't see LJ for some reason Feel free to pm or email me at nikkii_baka.chan@yahoo.com and I'll copy paste for ya XD (I mention this because some people use restricted internet)
