It happened the night of April 19/20, 2003. It was a Saturday night, the night before Easter. I was living in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment in the Ghetto Known as White Center, in South-Western Seattle. I was living with my mother, stepfather, and 4 cats. I slept on a cot in a corner of the living room, and at the time, I worked the graveyard shift at a mobile cateriing company (A.k.a. roach coaches). Coincidentlally, besides the invasion of Iraq in its infancy, the big news at the time was the SARS epidemic.

The background for this story set, I'll begin. I was sitting at my computer, playing Baldur's Gate. It was around 10 p.m. and I had woken up 3 hours ago, which was normal, seeing how I slept during the days to work at night. My mom, who has COPD, a terminal lung disease, was doing quite poorly. She had been really ill, was breathing worse than normal. We feared she might be coming down with pneumonia. She was in the bedroom, laying down and watching TV. My stepdad came out to make sure our front door was locked, as we lived in a REALLY bad area of town.

Suddenly, I became exhausted, as if I had not slept for days. It was sudden. One moment, I felt wide awake, drinking coke and eating a pizza. next minute, my eyes became so heavy I could not keep them open. I almost fell asleep in my chair, but instead I crawled over to my cot and collapsed. I remember the time was about 1o:30, because I had looked at the clock, thinking I lost track of time. i was pretty surprised it was so early and i was feeling so exhausted, but didn't think much moire of it, and I fell into a real deep sleep. I did not wake until 1 p.m. the next day.

When I woke up, I felt weird, like I had been drugged, though I was not taking any medication at the time. It felt like I had come out of surgery or sedation. It puzzled me a bit, but I figured maybe I was just alot more tired than I had originally believed.

However, then it got weird. My mom came out. She looked tired, but not as pale or sick as she had been looking. I asked her how she felt. She asked me if I was the one who called the paramedics last night. I was pretty surprised at this point, and told her no, and asked her when the paramedics were here. She said, well someone called them, I think, because i think I remember some doctors came in last night and did something for my lungs, along with a medical team. Now I was awake at this point. I asked her about it, and she told me someone had been in the apartment, because the door was unlocked and open, and she remembers medical personnel coming in and taking her blood. I thought she was nuts. Though I was asleep, if a bunch of paramedics, doctors, medical staff complete with equipment came in the house, I would have been wide awake, since they would have had to come right past my cot to get into my moms room. That would have most certainly woken me up.

She went to call some of her local friends to see if they had called the doctors. In the meantime, I was still shaking off the weird fog in my head when it hit me: she said the door was oopen when she woke up. I immediately thought about my cats, and feared they might have gotten out. I began to call them, and when they didn't come, I paniced. They always come when i call, especially when i call them and tell them they are going to get some kitty treats. But they didnt. I looked under the chairs and boxes, and found them all. but they were not happy kitties. they were all huddled together under one chair, their eyes wide, and they were very quiet. They looked terrified of something, which was most bizarre, especially for my largest cat, Alice Cooper. he is afraid of nothing. he loves people. Even when strangers come into the house, he is always coming out to check them out and see if they will pet him. He is extremely social and affectionate and even has got cops who have come to our house to pet him. yet he was rigidly still, terrified, and hissed at me when I reached under and tried to pet him. Never once in his life has he ever behaved like this. the other cats were equally terrified and would not come out despite my coaxing. What surprised me more, is that even though the door was left open by someone, they made no attempt to leave, something they always try to do if they see anyone opening the front door.

My mom came back out and told me she called her friends, and none of them had called any ambulances. They were also shocked that she did call them: for the past week, my mothers lung capacity had been so weak her voice was a wheezing squeak and whisper. Now she was walking and speaking. the night before, she had been so weak that I had to hold the inhaler for her. I asked here how she felt, and she said "I feel alot better. i can breathe fine now". She said it must have been something the doctor had done. I asked her about the doctors. She told me what she remembered.

She had fallen asleep, being fatigued from her constant struggle to breathe. She woke, but when she did, she said it felt like she had come out of surgery. My mother, being a former nurse and having undergone surgery before, was more than familiar with the effects. She said everything was hazy and she felt like she was halfway under sedation. the room was fuzzy and really bright, and she had to squint. When she tried to focus, she saw a figure dressed in what appeared to be surgical scrubs and a mask. His eyes were shadowed. She thought he was a doctor. When she turned to look at him, he called her by name and said "Don't worry, Albie, you are going to be fine. We are going to take good care of you". My mother couldn't speak, and her vision was still blurry. She remembered feeling something like a needle in her arm. She also remembered some else was touching her legs. She also remembered hearing garbled voices around the bed, and she looked over slightly and saw other figures, fuzzy figures, over on my stepdads side of the bed talking and murmuring, but she could not tell what they were saying. She couldn't see much more. She drifted back out of conciousness.

When she woke up, her arm and body felt a bit sore. She felt her arm, and was surpised to see a bandage of some sort over her arm. It was one of the bandages from her medical supplies. When she peeled it off, she found a puncture mark on her vein. Her head was still blurred and fuzzy, and she had to sit and think for about an hour as to when she had medical tests done. She got out of bed and went into the living room, where she found the door open. That frightened her, thinking someone had broken in. However, there was no damage to the door, the locks, the chain, the deadbolt or door bolt.

My stepdad woke up and my mom told him about what happened. He too was feeling extremely drugged, but did not remember anything from the night before. Later on, he dicovered he too had a puncture mark in his arm, which REALLY shocked us all. You see, my stepdad has a severe phobia of needles. Whenever my mom goes to the doctors and they want to poke her with needles, he has to leave the room. I have seen him vomit violently just watching someone get stuck with a needle, and when he has to go in to get stuck with needles at the doctors, he usually has to be restrained or sedated with oral medicine, as he turns white and passes out just seeing needles. He is absolutely terrified, and thus, if he knew someone was gonna stick him with a needle, he would not only remember, but he would have probably struggled quite a bit. Yet there was a needle puncture in his arm. When he saw that, he literally got sick and shaky, and was really worried how it got there.

So here we were on Easter Sunday in our little hovel, both parents with needle marks, our door wide open and undamaged, even thought the locks and bolts made that impossible, my normally gregarious and spunky cats piled in a corner terrified to the point that they did not leave their hiding place until 9 hours later that night, even though we laid out dishes of fresh tuna and chicken and put kitty treats on the floor for them, my mother's lungs suddenly clearer and the previous signs of possible infection or pneumonia gone in less than 12 hours, and all three of us with fuzzy heads, no recollection of anything the night before, save for my mom's fuzzy memories of someone in surgical gear who looked like a doctor.

This incident puzzled me. After some thought, I wondered if we had been payed some sort of "secret visit" by the health department. remember, this happened during the SARS scare, and to the average person, my mother would have appeared to have SARS. She certainly was more vulnerable, having terminal lung disease. Perhaps a friend or family member might have made mention to another person, who might have called the health department out of fear my mom might have the first case of SARS in the Seattle area. Maybe the health department did this late night visit to avoid panic. However, it doesn't totally fit.

This incident disturbed me so much I began to look around online to see if i could find any sort of answers, and I found the old ATS board. But thats another story.

Alien abduction was NOT even a thought in my mind at the time. While I had accepted that aliens were probably on earth, and maybe even abducting people, I knew little of the mechanics and such of the phenomenon, and had always pictured alien abductions to happen only to people in rural areas on roads. So it was a while before this possibility even crossed my mind. But after looking into the phenomenon, and then looking at other incidents in her life and of those around here, I began to wonder if my mom herself might be a possible abductee.

An example:

This incident was originally told to me by my grandmother, who was a very honest Christian lady with a soul of gold. The exact date is unknown, only that it happened sometime in the mid 60's, as my mom remembers she was between 10 and 12 years old, and the family was living in east San Jose, California.

It was night time, and time for bed. My mom was in her bed, My youngest aunt in hers. It was about 9 at night, and tho they were supposed to be in bed sleeping, my mom, being a normal kid, took her flash light under the sheets with a comic book to read.

Suddenly, it got very bright through her blankets. At first my mom jumped, thinking my grandma had come in the room, turned on the lights, and caught her reading comic books when she was supposed to be sleeping. But the light got so bright through the covers, my mom got scared, and pulled the blankets back. the room was washed with white light, so bright it hurt her eyes. My youngest aunt had jumped out of her bed and was frightened, and started screaming for my grandma. My mom was terrified, and both girls jumped out of bed. They were disoriented, because they couldnt see anything, and had to feel their way to the bedroom door.

The came out in the hall, where they ran into my grandma, who also saw the light. My grandma grabbed both girls and hugged them tight. My other aunt came out of her room and joined the huddle. While my grandma was hugging them and trying to calm them down, my grandma herself was terrified. As a Christian, two thoughts went through her mind. One was "was this the second coming of Jesus"? The light was so bright it was flooding the windowless hallway. the second thought, given the time period and the Cold War, was this was the bright flash of a nuclear bomb, and the Russians had attacked the US. My grandma was praying. The light seemed to last for a few minutes, then was gone. It was another couple of minutes before they actually got out of their collective huddle to see what the hell went on.

As my grandma passed in the living room, she noticed that the clocks said 10:15. Mind you, it was only about 9 pm when the light came. My grandma thought maybe there had been some sort of electrical problem. She went outside and found half the neighborhood wide awake, most of her neighbors running out of their homes still in Pajamas. Everyone was quite shocked. Cop sirens could be heard in the distance, and eventually, about four cop cars arrived. My grandma remembered one of the cops saying they had saw something really bright over in that direction, and at first thought there might have been a fire or something. Some neighbors had called the cops about it. The next day, an Air Force guy showed up, strangely enough. My grandma said he was polite, and he didnt seem to be there offically. He lived in the area, and when he heard about it, he wanted to check it out out of curiosity.

The above story was related to me by my grandma and my mom, verified by my two aunts and my grandmothers friends, who were her neighbors at the time.

My mother has also had many other strange experiences in her lifetime. Once, when she was visiting my eldest aunt, she was laying in the guest room watching Bob Newhart on TV. It was late at night. Suddenly, she remembers feeling paralyzed, and she paniced. She felt herself floating off the bed, and it frightened her. She remembers turning in mid-air, and trying to scream for my aunt and uncle, but had no voice. Suddenly, she dropped on the bed. the bedsheets were twisted around her arms and legs and she found her voice screaming. My uncle came running in. When she told him what happened, he began praying with her. remember, they are Christians, and they believed this incident was the devil harrassing my mother.

There are other numerous incidents and factors, many small and questionable, that are curious indeed. The ones that have made me wonder about possible abductiobns are those incidents where there was some sort of physical evidence of something strange going, as well as independant credible witnesses who verified the accounts. But those are enough.

Anyways, is my mom an abductee? I honestly don't know. She doesn't really no, nor has she really cared to think about it much when I proposed the idea, simply shruggung her shoulders as if to say "dunno, don't care" which is fine.

But as someone who is interested in the abduction phenomenon, as well as a bystander to a possible incident, it certainly puzzles me to this day.

I myself do not believe I have been abducted by aliens, for the record. Though Ive had my share of questionable incidents in my life, I am quite certain that they are related to more mundane or spiritual reasons. But my mothers is a completely different story.

So what happened that Easter Night? Was she abducted by aliens? Did the health department bypass our locks, drug us all, and check my mom and use some miracle cure to wipe out a possible deadly lung infection? or were we abducted by the Easter Bunny who has suddenly gained a fetish for playing bio-hazard team?

Who knows?

i have heard things where alians pick out a person or a family as "test subjects" and follow them through there lifes and make a visit every so often

Yep prawn boy. I have done personal research on the whole phenomenon and have learned that thats exactly what they do: continue to monitor, abduct, and study a person through their life. My mom has had many experiences that could be related, and most of them can be verified from outside sources.

They also say it runs in families, but I never personally can recall any incidents of signifigance that would lead me to believe it has happened to me, so perhaps its just my mother and maybe some of her sisters.

She does have many psychological symptoms of being an abductee, such as staying awake at night out of fear, gynelogical problems, strange possible pregnancies, fear of driving anywhere alone, fear of heights, ect. My mother has done drugs and has had some serious psychological problems. I would not even thinmk of possible abduction, were it not for the many incidents described all had other non drug using/psychologically distressed witnesses to various things. Some of her psychological problems can be attributed to very earthly traumas she experienced, but others are really damn puzzling, especially when others can vouch for certain things.

My mother, however, would probably never agree to hypnosis, as the idea scares the crap out of her.

Wow. That certainly seems like alien abduction to me...Especially judging by how freaked the cats were. eek I doubt they'd be as scared of "normal" health officers.

If anything else happens, please keep us posted! ninja

I heard of a varient where they don't target a family, but rather a group of people, having no scientific link factor, but the same thing happens they are repeatedly visited.

Also, I have to refer to what some comedian said here, "Earth has got to be the Alambama of the universe. Or all the aliens are stoners, technology way beyond ours, and they insist on abducting farmer john every year." NO offence to anyone living in alabama, it's actuallly a fairly descent place, I wouldn't want to be there, to far south for my tastes.

LOL! I am in agreement here! The further away from the Bible belt I am, the better!

I just moved down to Spain and will be living here for a year. It is Andalucia, up in the mountains, which is like the Spanish version of Arkansas.

For those who are wondering, its still me, Skadi the Evil Elf, however, I lost my last account so I have this one now. biggrin

That was a lot to read but I actually read the whole thing. I believe that they were actually aliens but I don't think aliens are bad. In fact, I believe that the aliens are the ones actually looking over the earth and trying to keep it from being destroyed. They are not called aliens. It's another word but I can't remember what it was at the moment. I believe if it wasn't for them, the earth would've been destroyed years ago.

And I remember talking to a person about it... and I cant remember WHO that person is. I think I'm haveing Deja vu... Sorry. I cant help. If you'll excuse me I'm going to slip into meditation and try to remember something that will probably piss me off. evil
