Kimaji shifted uncomfortable at his anger, folding her ears back. "I only saw them when I was younger. " She muttered, looking away. The ones she'd met had been so nice! Momo, Sei, Mtima..
"How many are there left? " She asked, glad to change the subject a bit. Suli didn't like gods, she didn't want to stay on that subject. "I thought everyone had left. " She shrugged. "Its so empty! "

Suli's ears dropped a bit, "...I'm sorry." He cleared his throat, taking a mental count of the remaining members. Well there was Maji of course, the old fool would die with the lands if it came down to it. Then Obi, his adopted son, there was a dark lioness and a white lion that Maji had recently allowed into the pride- and that stranger that had come in claiming to be the true queen...and those with her though he'd not met them.
"Including myself... a little more than five."

"Wow. " Kimaji blinked up at Suli. "That little.. Hey! " Suddenly she shot off, and despite being a small lioness, Kimaji was quick, her pale fur didn't even stand out that much here, against the dry grass.
Soon, the reason for her dash was apperent, a skinny hare, it hadn't had the chance to move away just yet, however, it was still better fed than the lioness, as thin as it was. It could survive on simpler things, and agile as any hare, it soon outran her, vanishing into the grass, and leaving Kimaji to skid, clumsly to a halt, much further from where she'd been earlier, and look back at Suli, ears flat.
"It was too fast. " she shrugged. she'd only shot off so quickly because it'd already spotted them, however, it'd already been too far to catch up to, unless she was something as fast as a cheetah-- which probably wouldn't do it either. Too many turns. But Kimaji had given it a shot.

"Too small anyway." Kisuli came up beside her after her sprint, still walking to conserve his own energy, "We need to find something large enough for both our families. A rabbit's got nothing. Not even a mouthful's worth."
He kind of bumped her shoulder with his playfully, giving a faint smirk, "But good job there, you almost had it."

"Yeah, but how would we hunt if we were starving? " She teased, and began to walk again, but when she was bumped, she was kind of thrown off. Geez, being little could sometimes be so annoying!
"It was too far. " She shrugged. "It saw us early. " Kimaji grinned meekly. "Maybe we should start getting quieter!"

True... she had a point there. Hunting when starving was no fun task... it made a lion light-headed, clumsy, and careless. He cleared his throat, nodding quietly. Being quiet was yet another decent point. If they were babbling on, they'd be heard.
He glanced over, kind of nodding forward. His posture corrected itself, he ducked himself down, his large shoulders rolling under his thinning mane as his head ducked down under the grass, eyes straight forward and ears perked up to listen ahead of them. It would be a while still before they actually found prey...but best be on guard anyway.
