A little about Piper; Piper was the first to come and live at the house of Dobbs. Because of this she feels she is entitled to boss the other housemates around. She gets into lots of arguments with Viktor, Both being headstrong and apt to want their own way. She once held a crush for Luel but since he had his eye on someone else she has tried to put a damper on her feelings for him. With the continual interaction with Viktor there might be something there besides hatred.

Viktor has no known redeeming qualities. He is impatient, snobbish, arrogant and thinks himself the prettiest in all the land. He's had more than a few verbal fights with Piper however where there is spark there must be fire.

*Piper stood briefly on the cliff enjoying the salt in the air and the familiar song of the gulls made a smile light on her pale lips. She replaced her blade, patting at the sweat on her forehead. It had been enough of a practice today and in such great heat too. She took off her effects, placing them by a tree and took a running start. For a few bright minutes she was as free as a bird. as if she had taken flight toward the muted orange of the horizon. All too soon she hit the water in a dive, the refreshing coolness of the ocean embraced her. Her blue hair settled in a halo about her heart shaped face. She would have stayed there forever if it werent for the fact that she needed air. Her head broke the surface in a delightful vision of the brilliant sunset.*

*Luel carefully added precisely three and a half drops of the chemical into the mix. He replaced the eyedropper from where it was and stirred counterclockwise. The mixture was beginning to bubble and turn a pale shade of lilac. Luel nodded, the potion was going just as he had hoped. He made a few notations into his notebook and then returned his attention back to the caldron.*
