I'm sure eventually someone will discuss trust...I personally don't trust any single human, not after last Wednesday. After what happened then, the only thing I trust is my baseball bat. One of the great equalizers.

But for now, we can continue to attempt to get the last word, if you like. 3nodding

Ah, if it wasn't a conglomeration of real life instead of an actual cunning plan I would now boast about lying in wait during the weekend in order to pounce on this thread today, in order to make people assume I had given up on it, when in fact, I haven't.

The passing of time would, if all has gone well, allowed you and the other readers to gain some trust, or faith, in the fact that I wasn't going to post anymore. But then I did.

But since the facts can fit the story, I know better than to complain about technicalities. ninja

Sad, but true.

Meh...trust...I do trust a few people now...only two, I think. And, sadly enough, neither of them is my g1rlfriend. Hell, haven't even talked to her since Tuesday.

So what happened to that whole 'I only trust my girlfriend' schtick then? Did something happen to change your trust in her?

Feel free to tell me I'm being too forward and it's none of my business, if you feel I am and it isn't.

For a couple of days, I didn't trust a single person that walked the Earth, including my g1rlfriend. Started Wednesday, the first day I went entirely without contact from her.

Since then, a few people have gained back my trust just by being there for me.

So, in your case - and, admittedly, most cases - you would say that the more time/exposure you''ve had with one person, the more you trust them.

I tend to trust people up to a certain degree, in that I expect them to behave as I have witnessed humans generally do in similar situations. It makes life less stressful, I''ve noticed.

As for specific people, people that believe themselves to be close to me.. Well, certainly, there are times when I am disappointed in them, but the same trust I have in most people, I allow them, despite that disappointment.

They generally serve to make future expectations more accurate and as such I do welcome them. That''s not to say I appreciate being disappointed, though..

Yes, I suppose that makes sense. I'm not one to love being disappointed in any damn thing, even more so when I thought I could trust someone, and they'd been leading me on for four or more months.

That's a rather pessimistic way to go through life, don't you think? Speaking from experience, hatred breeds hatred.
