So I've bought a beautiful headdress for my outfit that I'm wearing to Anime Vegas this year, and I've got a hairstyle in mind that will look just perfect with it.
I'm trying to do it with the front/top in a ponytail, and then have it all curled. Not all of my hair in a ponytail, a smaller one.

But I can't have any clips or hairties showing.
Does anyone know of a site that will teach me to put my hair up without everyone having to see the ugly clip?
All of the sites I've found only show picures of people with the hairstyle I want. ;-;

So, to make sure this is right: you want the top/front of your hair in a ponytail, like Qui-Gon from Star Wars (yes, he's the first person with that hair that I can think of. ._.;;; ), it'll all be curly, and you need to hide the band you're using for the half-ponytail?
In order to do that, probably the best way is to wrap hair around the band, so your hair is the only thing that shows. It's noticable, but not easily so, and it looks very pretty. Unfortunately, I have never actually bothered doing this before, so my advice will be the best I can do but probably not perfect.
Do your ponytail, and then gather a small strand of hair (probably from the underside of the ponytail, so it won't show that you're 'folding' it) and bend it up, then wrap it around the hair band as many times as you can. It should hide the band completely, though you may need more or less hair in the segment depending on how thick your hair is, how long it is, etc.
To secure the end of your hair, you can tuck it under the hairband on the underside, or you can bobby-pin it into place on the underside. Mess around with it a bit and you can figure it out.
An alternative which you may or may not like would be to do a flipped ponytail. This is easily done with a tool, but still possible without one. You basically do a normal ponytail, then stick your fingers up through your hair (next to your head; in between the roots of yor hair and ponytail band) then hand yourself the end of your ponytail with your other hand and pull the entire thing back through the 'hole' you made in your hair. it will turn the ponytail inside out. Done with a small tool made for this (It looks kind of like a giant needle with a big eyehole) or with a lot of work, you can manage to do this with the band still very tight and close to your head. If you do, you can pull the ponytail through in such a way that the band is hidden completely within the flip.
