Okay, I really don't get why werewolves and vampires have to be enemies! I really don't. There's nothing wrong with them co-existing peacefully together! And this just isn't about the Twilight series, but every other series that make vampires and werewolves enemies. I don't get it! Anyone else have a problem with the enemies?

Seasons May Change. Winter To Spring. But I Love You Until The End Of Time <3 I Do. It Is So Stupid. They Can Get Along I Think They Just Choose Not To xD They Need Someone To Fight And Kill So Why Not Kill Eachother Instead Of Getting Along, Right? xD Come What May. Come What May. I Will Love You Until My Dying Day

There wouldn't be a problem for the Cullens to get along with them, but the reason they're enemies is because vampires kill people. Reading so much about the Cullens and the Denali clan, people forget that they are about the only vampires in the entire world who don't kill people, and even they slip up. If being a vampire didn't automatically entail for lusting after blood, werewolves would have no problem. As Jake has explained, werewolves only exist to protect people from vampires.

Well, usually the story on that is about how vampires created wolves as their slaves (reason why they needed slaves I don't know, got to lazy to fight for themselves maybe =P). Then one day a male wolf fell in love with a female vampire and they tried to hide their love but the other vampires hated it. They thought it was filthily. So then it was war, the girl vampire died but the wolf escaped.
I personally think that its the stink that makes them not like each other to start out with, then from that the wolves started to hate the vampires because of their blood sucking, thinking they were monsters. So the vampires started hating the wolves because they couldn't control themselves. Also, the not smelling good to each other part kinda hints that its against nature for them to like each other.

Lizz is right; instincts rely a lot on senses, and the smell doesn't help their animosity. Beyond that, werewolves' eyes are so sensitive that it hurts to look at vampires (in Miss Stephenie Meyer's version) and most vampires do kill people. I understand the feud, because vampires are so dangerous and all; even the Cullens can be risky (just look at Jasper! heart )...
Personally, if I was there, I would try to make peace. I love them both so much, and all.

Thank you so much for that. I had never heard that version of why vampires and werewolves hate eachother. I guess that I kinda clears it up. I just love them both so much.

If I remember correctly, couldn't Dracula turn into a werewolf?
How can they hate each other so much when they used to be one in the same?

They don't really have much of a reason. I guess it makes a good story.
