centaury [lady joker] sounds like fun. now for thread, i know theres a bazillion kinds of thread. (embrodery floss not included) so lets say i want to sew something and i don't know what kind of string i want. i've seen everything from like a quater inch to inch and a half...i have no idea. what brand and type is the best if any? i use coats and clark. (link) thanks sweets, now what kind is best? dual thread or what? i mean, brands are alright, i'm willing to try, but there are so many different way a thread is woven. quilt thread is ment for the rug and tug of a quilt. whats ment for the rug and tug of a belly dance costume?

ok, i want to learn how to do ruffels without the eastic part of the clothing. i saw it somewhere. zoe jakes had it once and this girl in my dance class has something similar.
its close to what rachel brice has, pants with the garter thing. i want one for a cosplay i'm pulling off with a friend.

Pretty much all of my costumes are at least 50% made by myself.
If anyone wants, I have 1 simple way to make a circle skirt...and another sort of simple way to make one...just more labor intensive.
I use biki-tops or bras as bases for all my coin-bra stuff, and do a criss cross tie on them. I can also explain if anyone wants.
