Having just caught, and thouroughly enjoyed devouring, a tender young rabbit, Tahnia padded through the tall grasses in search of a puddle or lake, or some other place she might get some refreshment. Her face was a bit blood-stained, nose especially, and she was not a dirty feline. She kicked up dust from the dry ground as she went along, and she watched it swirl about her paws and dance around her legs. She smiled at the cloud while she followed it with her eyes, until it met her at eye-level and she caught strong whiffs of it up her nose.
Stopping in her tracks, she sneezed quite abruptly, a bit off-balance for a moment while she regained her composture. Lifting a paw to rub against her irritated nose, she shrugged off the ordeal and continued her quest to quench her thirst.

He smelled the scent of blooding floating on the gentle curves of the wind, and quite honestly he was a little repulsed by it. Blood was oriented with injuries and death, and Shaji never, ever thought about such gruesome things. He liked to keep a happy outlook on life. Of course he got blood on his face when he ate, but it was cleaned off immediately. At first he thought to avoid the area where the faintest wiff of blood was coming from, but then it occured to him someone could be hurt. He couldn't do much to heal an injured creature, but he could be there to comfort and possibly go look for help.
He walked towards the source of the smell, his little feet picking up pace, making him mover quicker and quicker... Until he finally found the source of the blood... on a strangely blue and small "lion's" face. He looked her over with concern clear upon his face, trying to see if anything was wrong with her. But... nothing seemed out of place, odd enough, and this confused the poor juvenile slightly. "Uhh.... hi." Now he was beginning to feel awkward for randomly approaching this "lion". This certainly wasn't the correct place to greet someone. "You're... dirty."
His dad didn't like dirt, and so Shaji had been taught not to like it as well.

Tahnia nodded at the male, which she knew from the size and shape of his body to be a young lion, and stated casually, "I know I'm dirty. I'm trying to find someplace I can wash up, but I can't seem to find and puddles or a watering hole. Do you know of any place like that?" she asked him.
She took in the expression on the male's face. "Is something bothering you? You look a little... upset?" She wasn't good at reading these kinds of things and never claimed to be, but she still felt that this lion was confused or concerned; something must be on his mind.
It then occured to her that she had absolutely no idea who this lion was. "Um... what's your name?" she asked him. "Mine's Tahnia." She tilted her head and looked him over. She'd never seen a real lion up-close before.

He kept himself a safe distance away from her, mainly because she was dirty, and if he returned home dirty like her his father would throw a hissy fit over it. Shaji would have to suffer through an hour long bath because his father just couldn't stand dirt. "Oh, well, I know a little watering hole that's not so far away." Getting Tahnia clean seemed like a good idea, because if she was clean he couldn't get dirty from playing with her. He really wanted to have another friend to wrestle around with, even if she was older then him.
"Oh, no, nothing really... I was just worried that you were hurt or something like that." Underneath his golden fur he blushed, feeling quite embarrassed for thinking that she was hurt when she obviously wasn't. The "lioness" didn't seem to be acting in any sort of pain, so maybe the only problem with her was that she was exceedingly dirty. To his father, though, that was a big problem that would need to be fixed some time soon.
"I'm Uzalishaji! You can call me Shaji, or Zali, or Uzali, or my full name... Whatever you want." He gave her a cheesy grin, making it quite obvious that he was a total push-over and generally sweet at heart. "It's nice to meet you, Tahnia. That's a good name. Short. I like it."
