An act of nobility is often characterized to be one of the most desired qualities in the world. Bravery, sophistication, intellect. These qualities have been admired since the dawning of time - as it depicts a segment of leadership and security. With security, there is continuation, and with continuation there is life. On further notation, honor and dignity have been associated with a variety of creatures since symbolism became an epic tool. The lion-hearted, the noble, the elite. The lion has been credited with such stunning symbology.

... What does that mean, Professor?

It means nothing. A book's cover is nothing more than a scrap design without its contents - it tells only the superficial details of a story. In due respect, symbols run through the veins like the wild rivers. They are quick, deep, and ever-changing. They hold greater meaning than one could begin to suffice and there is no correct answer or association within the lot. Expect the unexpected, is what the professor would say to the pupil - and never judge the lion to be brave. Do not judge a book by its cover, the professor would say - and do not trust the lion to be dignified.

You have set foot on the grasslands of a wild territory. This territory is marked with imagination and laborious feats; you are stranded to endure such things. I'm kidding, of course. This isn't a game of Survivor! If it were, I'd be placing bets and sipping a cola rather than introducing myself in however vague a manner. Obviously, I am Ieeko. Welcome to a quest for an Ames Errantes character! Do enjoy your stay, and mark the words of a mad and exhausted rambling: Never judge the paint by the color of its label.

Soul Name:
Richard Benjamin.

Soul Personality:

Some individuals are filled to the brim with clarity. They know what they want; sometimes they understand how they are going to need to behave to get there. Unfortunately, Richard is no such person. His mind is shackled to a circling orbit. Everything matters, everything is necessary - and he knows nothing of acquiring answers to everything that may happen to sail across the sea of his consciousness. In that respect, Richard is a confused child. There are moments in time where he may desire two outcomes at the fork in a road, thusly finding himself conflicted, unresponsive, and utterly frustrated. His indecisiveness is a horrid quirk. However, it is, by no means, a damper on his interaction. Hesitance and indecisiveness are no shower of rain to put out a fire of intrigue and curiosity, after all.

Continuing: There are some casual side-effects of his life in the world of entropy. One such side-effect is that he has a tendency to pull his hair, grind his teeth, or visibly display his own frustrations of a situation. Often times he ends up irritating himself to a point in which he may feel uneasy or off balance, thusly coining a situation he may run from. In other words, Richard has difficulty with responsibility. If two outcomes both seem right, he will not be entirely certain how to answer. In the end, what he responds with may be based on spontinuity or outside influence. That is, of course, if he did not run away from the problem initially.

What this quality falls under is an opposite reflection of the Lion-Hearted noble. Unlike the heroes, Richard has little nerve or self-control. The exact cause of this is linked with cowardice. He is reluctant. He is fearful. He houses extreme paranoia complications over the most minute of details. Under such logic, he is anything but lion-esque. In truth? His anxiety is a response to a mental explanation of what it means to be a somebody. He frets over himself for fear of doing something wrong and displeasing those around him. In doing that, he often forgets himself. Caring to the point of madness, ambitious to the point of insanity. He longs to be what one may call a 'hero' or a 'lion-hearted person'. The issue rests in that he knows nothing of how to plant his feet on that ground. As a result, he may seem timid and rocky as opposed to secure and strong. His cowardice? As before mentioned, he tends to run when something is out of his control. When it crosses the imaginary line within his mind, he wastes little time in attempting to find an escape.

On the contrary, Richard is not entirely skittish. The above paragraphs are subjective incidents for certain situations [namely pressure, fear, etc.]. While he is cowardly and easy to intimidate, there is a striking glimmer of hope within him. He is loyal and determined. His bravery emerges in the form of foolish bursts, where he may speak his mind or commit to an action based solely on the desire to impress or appear striking. More often than not, such decisions are made when there is something at stake. Hence loyalty and determination. If Richard desires something, he will work for it as best as he may. Unfortunately, what happens throughout the ordeal is difficult to predict. Yet, I digress! The point is that he is not singular nor flat. He is cowardly; he is brave. He is indecisive; he is decisive. He is a contradiction of attitudes; he is one who quarrels with himself over the meaning of existence. The pessimistic-optimist, the potential coward or inspiration. The point is that he is not clear in the least. His behavior is subjected to change based on his atmosphere and mood. While he may suffer several misgivings, it is not impossible for even the cowardly lion to display vigor if there is the will to commit.

Focusing. Richard is quite loyal with other people. This seems to include strangers he may like quickly, as he attempts to familiarize their faces. In that respect, he is an incredibly social boy who enjoys interaction with others despite its stresses on occasion. Anyway, his focus? His process of remembering is to familiarize every detail he possibly can. That means touch, smell, sound, and sight. He has a horrid habit of invading personal space [unless someone has since shouted at him for it] or staring. While his intentions are not wrong, he simply seems to hold no shyness after someone has paid attention to him for a while. Though timid, he is not apprehensive! Quite a difference, and little reason to continue elaborating.

In the end: Richard is both what he appears to be, and what he does not appear to be. He is a hazy individual shrouded by self-conscious behavior and anxiety. He is shackled with fear, superstition, and a longing to please others. He wants others to like him - he wants to be the 'good boy', and he wants to be praised. Thus his actions are often taken in the attempt to acquire said things. He may behave foolishly, rashly, believing it will make him brave or notable. An example of that would be climbing a shaky branch of a tree to get a cat while the branch is high up. If he fell, he would hurt himself severely, but, if he succeeded, he may earn praise. Understand? He does things because he believes they are right. He is righteous and determined to be so. However, when there is no black and white his world is shattered. When there is no right or wrong, he is confused. Based on his principals of caring for others and doing what is right, that sort of reality leaves him teetering. In explanation: What does he do? How does he behave? If his friends are fighting, who does he listen to? If he listens to one, the other will be hurt and angry. Richard fears those things. He fears causing others pain, thus finds himself subjected to it on occasion.

He is friendly. He is eager. He is earnest, and he is funny in a soft way. He is brave to his own extents. However, he is conflicted over the meaning of bravery. In the simplest of words: the definition of lion-hearted is unclear. Thus it be with Richard. In the very end, he is a naive child. He only desires fun and what is best for his surrounding atmosphere. Idealistic and hopeful, those qualities construct him at the core.

Lion Ears.

These are the same color as his hair, the insides being a darkened color of that gold. About the edges rests a thick black "ring", which generally characterizes male cubs.

Lion Tail.

The main half is the same color as his hair and ears; the tuft at the end is a dark brown.

Contrary to belief, lions do have spots. Generally these spots are about their head and are faded, so you're not going to see it from a distance or anything. However, in honor of Spotty Goodness, Richard has a set of provident freckles settled onto his cheeks.

Name: Christophe Benjamin.
Alias: Christophe; Benny.
Sex: Male.
Age: 45.
D.o.B: April 2nd.
Originated: Southern France.
Known Residences: Bridge Hollow Estate.
Occupation:
- Manages a Vineyard.

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 173 lb.
Hair Color: Dull-Black.
Eye Color: Dark Brown.

Personality:

Christophe is a chill individual, filled with the remains of class and chivalry. He tends to be overtly polite with others, although his manner of speaking reflects a business etiquette as opposed to a friendliness. In all due respect, he behaves in a sagely and calm manner. His actions seem carefully time and reflected upon, and almost always appear carried out in his own professional manner.

By observation, he is very skilled with the craft of negotiation given his solid appearence. However, such would be far too much of a grace. Despite himself, Christophe is not as collected as he may emerge when speaking of important subjects. Small-talk and casual events tend to leave him nervous and fidgety. He may respond half-heartedly, or he may even be caught completely off-guard by something. Matter of fact, his professionalism stems explicitly to professionalism. Beyond that, he is quirky in his own mannerisms. Genuinely filled with etiquette, he houses an eerie standard of attention.

He is a superstitious man, which should be well-understood considering it is highly influential of stories he may tell or things he may say to others. He believes, avidly, in the prospect of fate, karma, ghosts, monsters, and bad-luck. When asked why, he may defend only with an illogical 'everything is more interesting without an explanation'. Regardless, his superstition plays an incredible role in his life and activities - particularly involving the old bridge and wall beyond the vineyard.

Generally somber, he may not appear the life of a party. But that is not to say that he can not be fun. He is particularly filled with stories and accounts of interesting happenings, and loves to talk of them if one were to ask. On the contrary, he is not reluctant to 'prance' if he may be excited over something. In fact, he can be incredibly giddy when something goes right or when he has been lost in his own nostalgia.

In summary: Christophe is practical, professional, superstitious, and nostalgic. While he enjoys the idea of fun, he may not always participate in it for a better knowing of presence and age.

The Bridge Hollow Residence

Cecil Jackson

Pronunciation: Suh.Seal. She is a fluttery and flamboyant woman of thirty-three. At that mention, she is Christophe's surprising fiancee, though the precise arrangements of the matter are often undiscussed or noted. Supposedly, he met her during his first years on Gaia and became remarkably fond of her. Such statements are often debatable given his lack of association with her on general days.

In light, Cecil may appear friendly. She is bubbly; she is enthusiastic to the point of which it may very-well be irritating to watch her. At the same time, she is incredibly ignorant of logic or proper mannerisms. What does that mean? She is not polite on a casual basis. She may tell someone something looks terrible in a flighty way, a smile plastered to her face! Such revels the wicked nature she occasionally exhibits on-part of an elitist persona. 'Stuck-up' is the finest word to say. Remarkably, she is not so horrific with children - as she tends to pamper them and suffocate them with attention. Whether or not she is sincere in her adoration is questionable - but what kid would question a woman who offers an occasional piece of candy and giddy compliments?

Higgs

A close friend and associate of Christophe's. He is aged to the ripe segment of thirty-nine. Higgs functions as an aide around the estate and vineyard, helping to maintain and construct what may be turned into wine. In a sense, he is a jack-of-all-trades butler of sorts. However, he is treated as anything but a butler by Christophe. In general, the man is akin to a younger brother and treated with patience and mutual respect.

On average, Higgs is fairly at ease, though he has a sharp tongue and adoration of word-games. In some ways, he is the Cheshire Cat of the estate, always looking to confuse someone with a rambling or abstract thought. Utterly friendly and welcoming, he'll always attempt to be the first to the door to say 'hello'. In that respect, he is very polite, and incredibly eager.

Vanessa

In some lights, Vanessa is the cook or helping-hand. She works alongside Higgs as an aide, though her specialty, literally, is cooking. Twenty-eight years old, she is generally treated like a distant daughter. All the same: she is loved and adored, her cooking marveled and welcome with mouths lacking apprehension. On casual days, she proves herself to be highly eccentric and emotional. Regardless! Of all of the members of the residence, she is the most productive and set on that productivity. She takes pride in her work. She enjoys her work, thus she preforms with willing readiness to do so. On occasion, her passion can be radical and intimidating, but that just makes her all the more fun to see in person.

The Bridge-Hollow Estate

Imagine an enormous office. The Bridge Hollow Estate is an old, tired house on the far outskirts of Durem. Essentially, it appears located "in the middle of nowhere" - where there are long roads, stretching fields, and forests. In itself, the house is prodigious and luxurious. It is colonial and stylized fantastically, although the seeping vines and archaic nature may prove haunting. In basic summary: It is a two story house composed of several rooms, a cellar for wine, an attic for storage. In Christophe's imagination, as well as possibly Richard's, the greatest quality rests beyond the house within the back. There rests the jungle-like vineyard, where grapes grow swiftly and the sun glimmers upon the vegetation's dew. There is little doubt that the area is highly maintained and cared after as if it were an infant, and its beauty shines through as a result! The estate itself ends several yards away from the vineyard, where a small, broken wall of stone resides near a bridge leading into the forest just beyond the field.

The noble beast! Lions are one of the most noted members of a family known as Felidae and a genus known as Panthera. What does that mean? The lion is a big cat, and a feline, though completely different than your average, domestic house-cat.

The species was once scattered throughout the globe until finally settling in Africa, thus becoming the 'African ticket'. Unfortunately, the population numbers have been declining, leaving the entire species at risk, though perhaps less than others. Scientifically, it is known that Lions roamed roughly up to the Bering Land Bridge during the Ice Age - which, for the record, was a strip of ice linking Russia and Alaska.

"The lion is a large and muscular feline with a compact build. With short, powerful legs, a strong jaw, and long canine teeth, the lion can bring down and kill large prey. Lion coloration varies from light buff to yellowish, reddish or dark ochraceous brown. The color of the manes varies from blond to black. The underparts are generally lighter and the tail tuft is black.

The tail ends in a hairy tuft. The tuft conceals a spine, approximately 5 mm long, formed of the final sections of tail bone fused together. The lion is the only felid to have tuffed tail and the function of the tuft and spine are unknown."

"The mane of the male lion, unique amongst cats, is one of the most distinct characteristics of the species. The presence, absence, color, and size of the mane is associated with sexual maturity, climate and testosterone production. Research in Tanzania suggests mane darkness correlates to nutrition and testosterone, and that mane length signals fighting success in male-male relationships; darker-maned individuals may have longer reproductive lives and higher offspring survival, although they suffer in the hottest months of the year."

"Young lions first attempt to hunt at around three months of age, though generally not effectively until they are two years old. Lions can reach speeds of 50 mph, though only for short bursts."

"Lions are predatory carnivores who manifest two types of social organization. Some are residents, living in groups, called prides.

When resting, lions seem to enjoy good fellowship with lots of touching, head rubbing, licking and purring. But when it comes to food, each lion looks out for itself. Squabbling and fighting are common, with adult males usually eating first, followed by the females and then the cubs.

Both males and females will defend the pride against intruders. Some individual lions consistently lead the defense against intruders, while others lag behind. These “laggards” are not punished by leaders. Possibly laggards provide other services to the group so that leaders forgive them. An alternative hypothesis is that there is some reward associated with being a leader who fends off intruders."

In summary: Lion's are powerful, social creatures. They tend to have a strong sense of unity once they have formulated a pride. Naturally, they have an immense appetite and consume a hefty amount of food simply for the sake of comfort. While not all lions are particularly powerful or brave, they have an uncanny desire to be in the limelight, and thus often do what they may to impress the individual they may see as their leader.

As an individual influenced by being a lion, he will, obviously, have natural instincts or tendencies. These tendencies collide with the fact that he is also particularly human in quality and nature. Therefore, there are a variety of colliding effects. In example, he is not a carnivore, but an omnivore with a preference for meat. There is a grave chance he prefers this meat at a rare-cooking, and that he may even attempt hunting small animals out of impulse. You can see sudden glimpses of habits he already maintains, namely his lack of respect for personal space and his affectionate persona. While the highlighted areas are not direct representations, you may see them in short bursts of Richard's personality and general actions.
